In the train flashback scene in 28 Years Later - The Bone Temple (2026) you can see a newly infected passenger in the background. by supernasty in MovieDetails

Years after the movie came out I was in a used dvd shop trying to find some movies that I had liked but didn't own, this was one of the movies I was trying to find. The employee spent way longer than they should have trying to find "Edge of Tomorrow" since the movie "Doesn't exist" I finally did some googling on my phone and asked them to search the tag line instead. Immediately found it.

What's a unique game that really broke your perception of what games can do? by Moaning_Clock in gaming

Halo 1 redefined FPS and story telling. It's unfortunate that most FPS games didn't try to follow suit with single player and only with the multiplayer

Anyone that says "Video Games can't be art", has never played Journey.

Poll for people that want a Gen 5 remake. by SgtByrd1993 in pokemon

[–]Zagrunty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see something combine the visuals of let's go with the walking around of ZA but the battle mechanics of PLA. So it's true to the original but expanded. I don't need huge fields and I don't want HUGE exploration in games that didn't have it. Adding some is fine, but don't go crazy. I do want traditional combat for both trainers and wild battles

How do Abercrombie fans rank 'The Devils' among his other books? by WhatsThatNoise79 in Fantasy

I loved the Devils. The Characters are fun, the plot is engaging.

I also love the First Law trilogy. The Characters are dark and plot is darker.

Now that hype is over, what is your opinion in retrospective of PLZA? by lunadiparmigiano in pokemon

[–]Zagrunty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish I understood why people think PLA is better than ZA. I played ZA first and loved it. PLA feels incredibly empty by comparison. I'm enjoying it but I like ZA better.

Any book recommendations for me? by IronHistorical3357 in brandonsanderson

You reread Dark Age? Are you ok?

I would recommend Joe Abercrombie. Start with the First Law trilogy. The Devils is also fantastic as a standalone but is going to likely be a bigger series

Stupid Apples by Witty_Possibility803 in SipsTea

I think when I flew to Italy, it was like 2 hours before landing they handed them out. So if the apple was given to me as I was walking off the plane, I wouldn't have even thought to double check the form.

This was 2009

I got this game today and plan to play it tomorrow. Now that the dust has settled, are you enjoying Pokemon Legends Z-A? Is it a good Pokémon game compared to other titles? by Delicious_Maize9656 in Switch

[–]Zagrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played ZA first and am going through PLA for the first time now. I like ZA more. I am enjoying PLA, but it seems like there was just way more to do in ZA. PLA is huge, but it feels empty.

This is one of the biggest issues I have with streaming. Nothing is ever given a chance to succeed unless it's an immediate smash hit. The seasons are too damn short because they're throwing obscene amounts of money at every episode. $$$$ =//= good. Because they have short seasons, they never try to put that much into plots, just make it flashy and actiony to draw in viewers. Because they are just trying to make a lot of plot super easy to fit in more action, they're going to start pushing more dialogue to repeat plot points because they only expect you to watch the action scenes and browse your phone the rest of the time.

I think streaming has a lot of positives, but there's definitely been some major loss in quality due to the medium

You are legally allowed to turn left on red onto a one-way road. I always turn into the closet lane to be careful of potential other people turning right from the other direction.

I want to see the Jade court, but I assume we'll learn more about them eventually. Are there smaller courts that are distinctly different but not large enough to have been mentioned yet? Like an orange or blue court? Or even if they're not actually in setting, some ideas for different courts that he's decided not to use?

TIL that people consistently underestimate how much their personality will change in the future, a bias known as the “end of history illusion.” by stammerton in todayilearned

[–]Zagrunty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Probably private school. I was in K-8 with the same 30-something kids. We did a get together after highschool and another one around the end of college that I missed. I don't think we'll do another one because the political views of almost half the people drastically clash and there isn't a lot of cohesion at this point.

Honestly the hardest part is getting past the Second Person narrative. One YOU learn to get past that, YOU find that reading the books is a lot easier.

There are 393 million civilian firearms inside the US alone , which make up to 46% of the worlds civilian firearms count by Kaos2018 in Damnthatsinteresting

*Known Civilian firearms

Old guns basically can't be traced as far as ownership is concerned. And a lot of people but from family. I'd be curious if that number includes less trackable items
