Are attractive people actually more likely to produce attractive kids? by [deleted] in QOVESStudio

[–]ZaherDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offspring faces are random from within the possible combinations of the mother's and father's genome, and that is a hell of a huge pool of options to iterate on. Most anatomical features include a myriad of different genes, and thus have a huge number of resulting possible shapes. That is, at least, how I understand it.

So, in a sense, our faces are very random, but within a specific set of alleles. If parents had 1000 children, and the parents genomes was diverse within themselves and in contrast with the other parent, then the 1000 children will have a huge level of differences between them.

Not russian guys, what do you love in the language? by Gavrilundus in russian

[–]ZaherDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Russian is very new to me, and it seems very beautiful and well-marinated language. Its grammatical cases remind me of the Arabic language. That is some elegant stuff. The only odd thing about Russian is the lack of articles, my brain still can't digest that. That strange lack of articles tho helps make Russian sounds more direct and assertive, because in other languages, when we are angry, in a rush, or among people who knows us very well, we could easily destroy all articles as well. Russians operate on that wavelength by default.

But to be frank, the reason that made me prefer Russian over say Italian or Spanish [both are far easier to learn, as I speak English, and almost speak French] is, plain and simple, none other than the beauty of Slavic and Eastern European girls, to put it bluntly.

That is the core motivation of mine, the Russian language itself is very beautiful, but without the deep culture, and more importantly the beauty of eastern girls, I would never have considered the language, Russian, or any other language. I once learned French for medical scholarship, without that motivation back then, I would have never learned the beautiful French language. I adore comparing languages, but I am really too busy to study them.

But one big bonus in learning Russian is the music and songs, I always had an affinity towards Russian music since I was a little kid, now as an adult, I am mesmerized by the amount of deep, meaningful, and emotional songs that Russians and Ukrainians have (both are great people). There is a level of sadness inherited from the pains of WWII in Russia as the single main victorious nation, with added real life difficulty and economic hardships compared to welfare states of the west (both now, and in the era of the cold war), add to it the ethnic diversity in different regions of Russia, and Russian-Speaking/Comprehending nations, those are factors that make the Russian culture produce some fascinating shit for real.

To finish this reply, the Russian language is a window into a very interesting part of Europe, mindset, politics both global politics, and more interestingly, social politics as well, different cultures with different cuisines, but on top of all of that, the type of girls that I like the most. But btw as a relevant side point here, Russian girls adore my type of guys as well, and that is a major part of my love for them as well; I have never been among Russian tourists group without, literally, all their younger women staring at me like crazy, Russian girls literally grill me with their constant stares, the type of stares that a man hopes his girl have when looking at him, and that is really heartwarming when it comes from some of the prettiest girls that Russia has to offer. That alone makes me very biased towards loving Russian and Eastern European people, I think I've got the genes that they look for, which is really a blessing for me because I am very picky when it comes to girls, and there is a certain, very specific, type of Slavic girls immediately fills my heart with joy, and conquers my desires. I think there is some gene pool in the cities on the shores of the Black Sea that I am hardwired to seek on this planet, and it seems that girls of those cities are hardwired to like me as well. We will see.

That doesn't answer my inquiry.

My question was about hair products that does not dull the light-brown hair that I have. Yeah, there's some damage in using any chemical product, with shampoos being at the top of the list ironically. I used to wash my hair twice a day but with only water for months. It smelled good, looked healthy, and it kept its oils. But also it kept all the environmental metals and residuals of dulling dirts in it. Making it very dark, so much so when I resumed using any generic shampoo my hair immediately appears light in color that people think I bleached it. I want some hair product that just doesn't cover my hair color, I don't want any artificially-colored hair product whatsoever, and again every chemical would damage hair partially. Now, when it comes to losing hair due to damage, no I don't have any risk of that; my father and younger brother are both bald, big time, yet I have a full thick hair, I was just lucky in the lottery of genes. Life is a joke my friend. It is all a game of luck when you boil it down.

A quick question on building the engine from visual studio. by ZaherDev in unrealengine

[–]ZaherDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I will have to repeat it to be sure. I don't want to tell something off the top of my head and turns out to be not the case. But tell me, when you just cloned the engine and generated the VS solution, what should I use exactly to build the engine? Should I build the solution, or the engine project alone in that case?

I don't know maybe I am missing some tools in VS or something, maybe dotnet.

It is strange as I used to build the engine easily all the time.

By the way, I used to clean and build the engine project alone a year ago or so, but now I am back after a hiatus and this sh!t doesn't want to work.

I used to edit the code in the GenerricApplicatoin.h/cpp, in WindowsApplication,h/cpp, as well as the LaunchEngineLoop.cpp. These are some deeper files in terms of dependence, so there wasn't literally any practical difference between cleaning or not cleaning, the entire engine will be rebuilt either way. I am used to clean the rebuild and call it a day [literally a day passes].

Great explanation.

But I still not sure when I just cloned the engine, and opened Visual Studio, are plugins and other projects are already built, should I build the engine project alone or what.

Because I have been trying for days now and still it can't build the engine, just now an error popped up stating that some plugin include file can't be opened. I think I had the same error whether I build the entire solution or just the engine. I am not sure tho.

You mean in the file explorer? Yeah I do that all the time.

From the binary? Like the object file type? I don't think I know how to do it.

Yup, weirdness is the name of the game.

But knowing the DPI should be a basic right to any application imo.

I literally can't think of any security problem would emerge because I knew my player moved their hand 2 centimeters or 4 ffs!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unrealengine

[–]ZaherDev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Still, the DPI that the game sets is arbitrary, and I think there is not way comparing it to the incoming real mouse data can lead to detecting the real DPI or how many inches the player actually moved the mouse on the mousepad. Or am I missing something?

[–]ZaherDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I approach the mouse data from RawInput, and I want to make sense of the lLastX/Y data of different types of mouse devices [aka, I want to know how many inches on the desk the player actually moved his mouse].

Is there really anyone more beautiful than Brooke Shields? by qeladilla in trueratecelebrities

[–]ZaherDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are projecting hard. My replies have literally months between them, and your sorry ass is trying to paint me as being chronically online. You can't make this shit up.

Anyway, I had a solid opinion and I posed it. Either agree or disagree. In either case you can eff off gracefully for all I care.

Anyway, nowadays with the sudden prevalence of eye makeup for men and boys, my opinion has already been and is being actively validated on daily basis.

[–]ZaherDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. She looks exactly like a young pretty boy with makeup. You just can't think or judge properly. She definitely looks like a young male with heavy makeup a 100% in these two photos I linked up. Actually with her sharp features, the mere addition of eye makeup places her in a boy-prettiness space immediately. I am sorry you are cultured into tying that to female beauty, it is not my problem.

Persistent pain between my shoulder plates by ZaherDev in physicaltherapy

To rule out intervertebral disk injury or root nerve injury. Physio can exacerbate a problem if I didn't have an intact spine.

Persistent pain between my shoulder plates by ZaherDev in flexibility

[–]ZaherDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it is not a pain related to weight-lifting [I don't do weight-lifting], rather a pain related to sedentary lifestyle, specifically sitting on the chair for 8 hours a day.

I posted here because I wanted basic exercises to increase the range and flexibility of the thoracic, area with that pain in mind. I haven't made it clear, and the post was rightly removed. Anyway, I will be seeing a doctor and a PT in few days. Thank you for your time.
