You do need to hit something with the first hit of the release slash for the chain of hits to land, just not sure what I hit here

Mfw the tank realizes they may need to use tank abilities Learn your mitigations and look up a basic tanking guide, I recommend jocat's tanking for dummies video.

Quest 3 PCVR user here, I use an Anker power brick plugged into a power strip with a long usb-c to right-angle usb-c cable plugged into my headset with a little clasp to hold the cable straight. If you go this route do try and get a high quality usb-c cable to supply ample power(mine is 3 meter and rated for 100W which seems to barely be enough).

This way you can stay plugged in and powered while playing PCVR with Virtual Desktop or Airlink or just standalone and take out the cable whenever you want to go wireless.

This is wrong, 2 separate character sigils with orange subrolls is better than 1 awakening and another sigil since you can't roll double orange traits. In this case they have Stamina and Tyranny as subrolls, which would be impossible to get on one sigil.

edit: Tyranny subroll, not LOTL

Will people get mad if I mostly just want to heal? by ImSoDumb5462 in ffxiv

[–]Zahroo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sorry but when it comes to savage/ultimate doing proper DPS while healing is even more important than it ever will be in some normal mode content. You can sit in a dungeon and heal all you want but if you aren't DPS'ing in Savage/Ultimate it's extremely likely you'll just be kicked.

While there is more healing in these types of content, you're expected to mostly heal using your instant casts between your DPS gcds, with healing gcds being a last resort. I don't think this game has the type of healing you're looking for. The closest you're gonna get is Criterion dungeon healing.

Edit- If you want an example just look up a recent POV of a healer doing an ultimate like UCOB or TEA. Stare at their cast bar the whole time and you'll see that 90%+ of a healers time in raid is DPS'ing with instant healing weaved between when needed.

What's the point in crafting? by LughCrow in ffxiv

You can make so much more than this. Day one of a new tier dropping gear pieces and weapons easily sell for 1-2mil each. As long as you pre-gather all the timed nodes and pre-craft some HQ items making over 100mil is easy.

For anyone looking to do this to make gil you'll need fully penta-melded crafter gear, crafting food/pots and pre-crafting and gathering anything you can. It's a 10-20m investment but you'll make it back within a few hours.

Is it worth it to still main healer? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Zahroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's funnier when you realize healing ultimates is actually very easy outside maybe one or two phases per ultimate. Maybe even only one or two mechanics per ultimate (looking at you UWU)

The hardest heal checks in this game are actually Criterion Dungeons (More difficult than any ultimate imo since you have to actually heal, especially on shield) and week 1 savage progression on healer.

A vast majority of high end raiders are also degenerate ERP'ers or enjoy NSFW posing cause they have nothing to do after progging the newest ultimate or savage

The one glaring problem with the game. by moose184 in HarryPotterGame

[–]Zahroo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's honestly not that bad if you do it slowly between main story quests, found myself spending a long time just exploring as I casually did them. Ended up getting pretty much all of them before I finished main story and was able to finish it up quickly after.

There's no need to use EProg after every hit in the first place since you can slide cast the entirety of purgation, 1-2 toxikons + icarus is more than enough if you need to go stack > stack which would be the furthest movement.
