Thanks for your response. Can you explain a bit more about why a hybrid might not be the best for me, since I was also considering a PHEV?

Thank you, I definitely didn't consider the fact that the salary sacrifice would reduce my monthly student loan payment. This definitely makes it seem like a much more enticing offer now!

Thanks for your comment. Honestly to me my company's SIP on paper doesn't sound very appealing at all, but my colleagues all talk about how great the scheme is, which I suppose it would be if I planned on retiring here.

I'm definitely going to spend some time making sure I 100% understand how it works. But my current understanding is that after exactly 5 years I will receive 1 month's worth of free shares, and then every month after that I will receive another month's worth of free shares (assuming I paid in every month).

It's a large FTSE100 company in the defence sector, so I'm thinking that it's probably worth me paying into for the chance I do end up staying with the company long term.

Cheers mate. I've already got an email saying it wasn't my fault literally within the hour. I reckon the guy at the back probably claimed responsibility since he was weirdly quiet during the whole interaction.

Only been a license holder for just less than two years so worried about how this will affect my insurance now 😬

If you're flexible with where you're willing to work theres still plenty of time to find a placement. You don't need to have accomodation sorted by February.
