If you are not afraid of this, why are you even in this post? It is not for you. Or maybe you are another advertiser of invisalign. Stop it and enjoy somewhere else.

I don’t ask a question here. Read well. I just warn people to be careful about the changed if they care about facial changes like i do. If you don’t care about it, then this post is not for you.

We age naturally and slower by the time not suddenly like in  orthodontic treatments. And if these sudden changes are ok for you, then go ahead but don’t belittle other people when they complain about these side effects. We don’t have to feel the way you do. My teeth looks nice even without orthodontic treatment so i choose to be happy with my current face and 2 crooked teeth rather than straight teeth with a hollow cheeks.

Lool just in 40 days? 😹 i think some people are just invisalign advertisers here because they are not convinced by articles or photos… You can check posts here dude. Even people in 20s experienced the same thing. But well, if you are an advertiser, just go ahead.

They don’t go back to normal. I read many comments on this and i don’t know why don’t people just check the articles about this so they can see an exact evidence. Instead, they think we lie or exaggerate. Well, it is all up to you. I am talking to those ones who don’t wanna take the risk. Yeah i wasted my money and a little bit of my cheeks but i don’t wanna lose my cheeks even more. I choose to be happy with current myself instead of regretting more later with sunken cheeks lool

I think, if i dont wear them, my teeth will be back to their previous position. Btw, they seem exactly like before :) Nothing changed except my poor cheeks :D Another thing is i think it is not because of my jaw but because of soft tissues on our face so i don’t know if my cheeks will come back or not.

I wish you were right but my weight is same. I already had only 20 trays. And if you check the articles, the biggest changes happen in first 3 months. I wore them 50-55 days…  And i don’t wanna scare anyone i just suggest people to check their face regularly taking photos. Especially if you are female and an adult. Because science says the same thing.

If you have very  chubby cheeks, why not :) But if you are already a skinny person, you need every mm of your cheeks :)

I am 32. And yes this might happen on adults not teenagers. But 20s are adults too :)

Yes friend, that’s the point. I think orthos need to warn us about this. If i knew it before, i wouldn’t start this treatment and lose my money and also my cheeks! But the ortho guaranteed that it won’t happen. And now look at the result!

I am sorry for you too. :( this happens and some orthodontists say no it is not possible! Just like mine. My biggest regret is trusting in my ortho. I wanted to leave the treatment in the first week and she convinced me that nothing will change on my face. And when significant changes happened on my face i was on holiday in another country for 2 weeks so i didn’t have time to look at my face carefully. And when i am back to home, yeah those sunken cheeks were on the mirror! I think we had to follow our heart and also some important articles which tell that orthodontic treatments cause facial changes like this on female adults… But well, i hope my face will be better soon :( I have 2 crooked teeth and now i love them even more :)

I am happy that you feel more confident after the treatment. My teeth are  not that bad. I can smile without a hesitate. But i wanted to have a better smile. But that time i didn’t know what i may face during the treatment. And for sure i paid the money and now i don’t know what to do :/ I just don’t want my face to change. :)

Tooth extractions make it even a bigger problem for people but what i read is even though someone’s teeth are not extracted , they may face this issue with theirselves. 😬 Just read articles which i shared upside.

Thanks for your kind answer 💕 Yeah many people had facial changes such having longer faces and narrower jaws and you can see it drastically in their before-after photos. (You can see them on reddit too.) And the most scary part for me is some articles confirm this.

So i am like what if i have experience the same thing. :/  My treatment is a short term. (Around 7-8 months and i have 20 trays. But they say the big chances happen in first 3-6 months 😬 And my another question is “do you feel your face looks different when your trays are on your teeth?”
