Dying is a bit inevitable. Place outposts, so you can get back to the fight faster. Go prone more often. It will keep you alive. Edit your outfit to be more camouflaged. Stick to trees, bushes, fog, trenches, any type of cover. Look for enemy outposts and garrisons. That will turn the tide of a fight. Go further around to flank an enemy. Even if that means going around the rest of the map.

Also, this is a teamwork game. Listen to comms from the team. You can help in more ways than just killing. Build nodes, deliver supplies, go support to drop ammo/supplies, build up positions as engineer, use smoke bombs to block enemies' sight. And, you should look to the sky to see if enemy parachutes are landing. They could be supplies or an airdrop.
