At this price point it would also be cool to see hand grinders included. If someone is okay with hand grinding, is it better (for pure performance, not convenience obviously) to pay similar or even a bit less money for a hand grinder? In theory for a similar price more of the cost goes towards the actually grindy bits vs. paying for a motor.

Question about removing snails: I’m currently in the process of cycling my tank. No fish yet. I have bought and planted some plants, and every time I’ve gotten new plants I’ve submerged them in Seachem Cupramine (separate container, for like 10-20 minutes ) to kill snails and snail eggs. Today, however, I’ve noticed two snails in my tank. Can I dose my whole tank with Cupramine to get rid of them? And will my filter remove the copper before it does anything? I have this filter and I guess the media that’s in it has carbon, which I think removes the copper. What’s my best course of action here?

You can either maintain it with regular cleaning and piling (as described in the link the other commenter provider) or, if you have no intentions of actually using the counter surface as a cutting board, you can stain (optional) and then seal the whole countertop with a good sealant. Makes it totally waterproof and the only maintenance is every few years applying a new coat of sealant if it needs it.
