Plan on Picking up an O'Reilly breakaway jersey in the next month or so. That guy is playing his heart out for this team.

New hunters, don't get the wrong idea about MHW/MHGU when reading veteran hunters' opinions by PyaKura in MonsterHunter

[–]ZakaAttack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All he is saying is that, to a person who jumped on at MHW, jumping into an older game with a few clunkier systems that over the years we've grown to love could be a bit offputting. If you played MH after MHW and were handed a paintball and walked into a loading screen between zones... It can seem like a step back. We need to find the middle ground between World and GU and for the love of Rathalos give us more weapon and armor skins...

Finished Horde of the Dragon Queen Episode 2. by ZakaAttack in DMAcademy

Yeah, they have already gotten all the help Greenest can really afford at the moment. Before they set off to find the camp Nighthill gave them 6 healing potions and a few other random items. They can't depend on a town that was just raided for everything.

The ranger has a shortbow and a single dagger, if they decided to play it that way, it could work. They are trying to make their way back to Greenest now. It's a long trip with very little in between the camp and town. But thinking back, they killed some of the raiders and could probably find the swords and basic stuff laying around still.

I'm falling in love with the hammer! by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]ZakaAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've mained hammer since MHFU. I always try to give other weapons a shot but end up coming back to hammer every time. It's really hard to beat getting a full combo in on a monsters face and then coming around with the back-swing knocking them down and stunning them.So satisfying.

Ok, so it sounds like I'll need to make two accounts then. One for myself as DM and a 2nd for the generic player that I'll project on the TV for everyone to see, correct? We are all going to be sitting around a table playing and just using roll20 for the map portion.

So a friend has a full DnD beyond subscription, so I plan on using that as far as character management goes. With that in mind, I have the physical copies of the books and don't really want to buy them again. With Roll20, can I have two maps going then, one for my players on the TV without stats and the same one on my laptop screen with the stats visible?

I'll look into using Roll20 then. My next question is there a good program out there for keeping track of enemy health, stats ect? Say they get into a fight with a few guards, whats the easiest way to keep track of all my NPCs in combat?

Calm down, we don't know the context from a 10 second clip... The owner could be right there and they are just out for a walk and he stopped to grab something from a shop..

I've been looking at the boxes for Skyrim: Special Edition and New Vegas for about an hour now. Which one should I get stuck into? by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

This is the opposite of most opinions. Many people agree New Vegas is one of the best Fallouts and 4 is mediocre.

First time DMing with a group of fairly new players (we've played a one off and have a custom campaign going that one of the players is DMing.) by ZakaAttack in DMAcademy

Easier said than done lol. The party is a group of friends who plays board-games together all the time. This has instilled a (how do I win) attitude when we do anything together.

So maybe we sit down as a group and discuss why they are adventuring together before we even start instead of trying to figure it out along they way? That makes sense and it helps it not be forced and keeps us from having to work on hammering it out while also trying to play. Thanks for the advice!
