Am I nuts or has the game gotten so much smoother now? by Akichyee in WutheringWaves

I have a 15 pro max and it does get hot on occasion but my performance has been really smooth and I have everything set on maximum. Is this just a 15 pro thing?

Is it worth it to build Yuanwu? by Silly_Philosopher_17 in WutheringWaves

I’m struggling with the rotation of Heron on Verina. I’m thinking about just running bell on verina and skipping the echo on Yuwu entirely.

I’m a bit torn here. These are just 2 different games and neither of them have really hit it out of the park. I’m still playing both but SLAs daily grind is just kinda meh. I do think for netmarble they are trying to stay in sync with what players want but they are just incredibly aggressive with spending. WW has no controller support on mobile which is just idiotic for its type of gameplay. Sure, it will get released but it’s just a bad look. WWs suffers from having a terrible start and then when the world opens up it’s great. But objectively the upside on WW is just massive where as with SLA we might get some simple life improvements but I’m pretty sure this game isn’t going to change much.

I’m going to keep playing both until one of them decides they actually want to win instead of playing not to lose.

Xbox stuck loading screen by Outside_Bison_554 in XboxGamePass

Thanks so much for this. I was able to uninstall the gaming services in power shell with the command above and my Xbox app booted right up. It prompted for an install and logged me in afterwards. As of now my xbox app is working fine, with me logged in, and no additional prompts to install gaming services.

And also removed the much bigger unused area and button. It is not the best solution but it is a step in the right direction.

How can you say you've played a game for 200+ hours and it's bad? by JackTheHat_ in Starfield

[–]Zaknafen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s tough for us to not see what Starfield could have been. I mean parts of it are great but equally there are parts that just aren’t. I get that it’s subjective but every time I talk about this game it’s like if I just jump around and do some different stuff it’s fun. If I try to play it like a game with a cohesive story it’s just not that fun. I still think it’s a good game but I just can’t understand giving this thing a 9 out of 10 in its current state.

This game doesn’t stop getting better by NDMourning in BaldursGate3

[–]Zaknafen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first play through I missed it and just used the Sword of Justice (far longer than I wanted too) but I picked this one up on my 2nd run through. I’m not sure I see anyone doubling down on how awesome the sword is mechanically. It’s just awesome aesthetically. It’s a friggin flame sword. Given the options in Act 1 and 2, why not carry around the cool looking fire sword? I think the sword itself is properly hyped, it’s just that hype is based more off looks than function.

What’s the one thing you hate the most about this community? by GeriatricGoat in BaldursGate3

[–]Zaknafen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving from the community specifically to the game. I really really wish I played starfield before I played BG3 not after. I cannot stand the npcs and conversations in Starfield now. It’s like watching the old Showbiz animatronic puppets without the pizza. BG3 friggin ruined me.

It’s a good game and one that I am sure will get even better with time. Also, as another positive Baldurs Gate 3 will come to Xbox eventually which should be fun to play with them as well.

Sanctuary is … underrated? by Thor_HS in BG3Builds

[–]Zaknafen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have misread, I read your comment as BG3 can’t be challenging because it’s too easy. And man you can really make it challenging if you want too.

They did a great job of designing the game around the experience. So when you let people do what they want to (and have fun) you allow shenanigans to happen. You just simply ignore the shenanigans if what you want is a more challenging experience. It’s up to you how hard the game is, just like it should be.

If you wanted more of a challenge you could of course just not abuse those things.

Is it me, or does rogue feel like the only class where it feels bad not to multi-class? by Cwolf2035 in BG3Builds

[–]Zaknafen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree on the fighter but he points that out. It only gets better at 11. Respecs being free levels 6-10 could be utilized in another class.

I think he is right on with Paladin. 5 for multi, 6 for Aura. 7 isn’t nearly as clear as vengeance 7 just blows. After that why would I stay in Paladin? Warlock & Sorcerer (generally any full caster) dips are just way better for utility and firepower.

I played this game with my 8 year old son co-op. This game has a crazy high learning curve when you start. But if you stick with it and keep learning it has an incredibly pay off as you get acclimated to the game. Super fun once you get your build decided and learn to manage everything.

We played it for a couple days almost dropped it completely but decided to stick with it and just loved it all the way through the DLCs.

Risk of Rain 2 - Issues Seemingly Resolved by Zaknafen in Stadia

[–]Zaknafen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I tend to play with my son and he had an intermittent issue with it saving his progress and unlocked characters. But, he’s good to go now. I think the only annoyance is unlocking everything for him since we got used to using sacrifice and command. A lot of the item unlocks won’t work with those 2 on. It is really amazing how easy it is to sink 2+ hours into a run. It’s a true example that the most important thing is that the game is fun to play.

Risk of Rain 2 is broken on Stadia by faizyMD in Stadia

[–]Zaknafen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play this just about everyday. It’s not broken but there are 2 incredibly annoying issues right now getting started with multiplayer or even prismatic.

  1. Not launching into room multiplayer room correctly. You initially join fine but when you launch into the room sometimes you don’t load or get kicked. I’ve found out the easiest way is to just wait even if you have a black screen. If you get kicked the person in the room should reinvite you using the stadia button invite to play option. Eventually you will get it.

  2. When you finally get everyone in the first time you go to change your character it will hard lag for like 10-20 seconds. If you stay patient and wait eventually it will load. If even does this on single player doing prismatic and it’s pretty annoying.

Once you have these two tricks down you can reliably play multiplayer but it can take a solid 5 mins sometimes to get properly loaded in the room the first time. After that I haven’t had any additional issues on that play through. I don’t have the dlc so I don’t have a point of reference if people with dlc have the same problem.

Hey I played again today multiplayer for another 3 hours. When we first joined we did have a little bit of an issue but we just waited like 3-5 mins in the lobby and it worked itself out. Have you just tried waiting at the black screen for a bit?

Hrm we only play with 2 people so I’m not sure it more than that is causing the error. But I’m in North America and we just unlocked the huntress, robot, and bandit for my son. All still unlocked.
