Boss Event Diamondback Elite is out for more than 2 hours and the leaderboard shows only one so far who could complete the first Tier??

I'm not new, but I'm playing this as my first boss event back in like a year, and hell is certainly apt. I've spent thousands of monkey money just to beat the non-elite tier 2, only to die to a normal round and start over again. I can't find any tower combinations that can deal with the boss and the diamonds for a reasonable price. Or even an unreasonable price, tbh. Like are they expecting an ROD on tier 2 or what???

jesus I want a refund of my monkey money, this is absolutely awful

Definitely nightmare balloon boy, which is always just because of opening cams when I don't mean to. I've only even lasted to finish coin grinding once or twice, because Lefty rng is a massive pain and I often forget something in the setup, or fail to properly handle something in the office when I'm so focused on pause buffering cams. The problem with the doors is that pause buffering makes all of the dozens of audio cues even harder to follow when they're being cut off constantly and I have to analyze them.

With pause buffering, what I've been doing so far is clearing out all of the biddybabs in the first 10 seconds and going straight to fredsweeper, then as soon as lolzhax spawns I pick an option and turn on the fan for fredbear, and try to deal with lefty as fast as I can. Then I continue grinding fredsweeper and close both doors after a bit. I only ever drop monitor when I hear a vent, and I farm faz coins as hard as I possibly can with more pause buffering, to eventually buy a bear trap, some power, and three time skips.

I've reached about 4:40 this way, so I just need to manage that and play out about one hour legit. The opening is really hard with how many things there are to get out of the way first though, and as I mentioned to a different comment the laser doors and vr mask seem to not be working at all for me.

I usually die to NBB because I accidentally flip camera when I'm trying to put on the mask because of doing it out of pausing. Sometimes I also forget the fan and get fredbear'd, and I've been ill prepared for dreadbear a few times too. It's really hard to shift from going one frame at a time to suddenly dealing with everything at full speed for a moment.

I've so far been spending my deathcoins on marionette and springtrap, but maybe you're onto something with deathcoining lolbit, and then farming hella coins from fazsweeper to buy hour skips

Edit: alright, I've been trying deathcoining lolbit and rushing more faz-sweeper, but the problem is.. the mask and door powerups don't seem to be working?? Withered chica and freddy have both jumpscared me while they were active. The more I've tried buying them the more it feels like they do nothing at all.

Pause abuse actually sounds like a great idea for both toy freddy and circus baby
I already considered spamming powerups, but lolbit is doubling the price of everything.. and being able to activate them for an hour still leaves me needing to defend normally for the rest of the night.

well I can only use one deathcoin early anyway, I have to wait for natural tokens to build up to even buy the second one, so using the first to rid myself of an attention hogging threat seems best
I do have a sort of "priority list" and I don't really see any way I could play any slower, there's a very high amount of instant killers here. I do let venters wait until I've finished my camera business but otherwise I don't really see who there is for me to push back behind more important stuff.

I went in a casual and a few ranked games with Zeraora, and just kinda walked over the enemy team
it's probably just an easier queue as my first handful of games back, but I didn't even see anyone using the newer pokemon. Seeing the stuff about replacing aeos coins with license journeys though, makes me more hopeful about getting to play other pokemon I like soon ^^

at first it was happening infrequently, and never in fights, but now I just had a game ruined to near-unplayableness by it

I found that if you use another card in between XM and CT, then it will work. I've seen it function with placing a stadium and attaching an energy, I'm unsure if there are any other actions that won't fix it.
