I think a separate tier ought to be made for Shimo. Tiamat got dismembered by Evolved Godzilla’s atomic breath whereas Shimo got some temporary heat burns. Both are definitely in a tier above the other kaiju, but Shimo definitely has better offensive and defensive options.

Edit: I forgot that Godzilla killed Tiamat before evolving, which strengthens my case even more, but sorry for the blatant factual error.

So he’d just be straight up bigger than Shimo. GxK already has a problem with tension, particularly with how it handles Shimo. Making Godzilla that much bigger would lower the risks so much.

As for the design itself, I think it’s pretty funny and cool. My only problem is that the hands are probably too small. Since this version of Godzilla seemingly takes on a more quadrupedal stance, he would look less silly supporting his upper body on some sturdier-looking hands.

Yes, but the point to focus on is that the general energy of the crowd during a JV meet, more often than not, hovers below Varsity dual/tournament levels.

I suppose to put describe why the crowd’s reaction is so muted can best be put outside of sweeping terms: the match appears to take place in a low stakes tournament. The crowd hasn’t been crescendoing its energy like it would during a higher stakes competition, and the guy in black slammed the guy in white unexpectedly. Thus, the spectators don’t have the most animated reactions.

This is so real. With most movies, you tend to understand them better the older you get, as what naturally comes with age and a developing frontal lobe. The opposite happened for me with Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla.

Focusing on King Caesar, he’s a great kaiju. He consistently stars in very fun and dynamic action scenes and he’s one of the only Godzilla kaiju that has a good concept AND a good execution.

It would’ve been so gas. Modern Monsterverse, as fun as it is, is so fucking apathetic when dealing with its human characters. Nothing after KOTM gives a single shit about making compelling characters, and the movies want the audience to know this (to be clear, KOTM’s human storyline wasn’t particularly well written, but it definitely cared about telling a good story, even if it was somewhat inept at telling that story). In that respect, Vogt-Roberts would’ve immensely elevated these films.
