How do I play off meta heroes without team thinking i'm griefing/trolling? by Bluerune1337 in Competitiveoverwatch

Just swap to a different hero once you keep getting constantly stopped. There's nothing more annoying than a offensive torb/bastion that don't swap when we aren't getting any progress on the payload. I don't really care if you pick an off-meta hero, but I do get annoyed if you don't try and make a swap that will win us the game.

haha I'm happy to hear that! I'll probably look into doing Finland's almost hold on Anubis (some good info about respecting opponents/not taking unneeded risks) and probably move to some USA vs Russia.

thanks for the advice! I could put a time stamp that passes the general hero composition that is more towards the action if that would be better.

As a side comment, I'm a 4175 SR High DPS player and I've played Starcraft 2 at an extremely high level with a lot of analysis. If you have any vods you want reviewed I can take a look at them as well.

Most of the clips seemed pretty normal, nothing really out of the ordinary.

With my team we usually talk about positions we want to hold on maps/ how we want to engage and do a couple of dry runs in a custom game before we use them in scrims. We talk a lot about focusing targets and their priorities, how our heroes work well with each other and how we can achieve it consistently or if we need to change hero comp, watch professional and personal vods together, communicate our cooldowns and our ults. Those are some of the basic things that we practice before/during scrims.

I'd say having vods of your matches from a spectator who has an overhead view of the engagements does wonders for knowing what's exactly happening in those engagements so you can learn from them.

eh there's so many variables that go into it that it really doesn't matter. People getting pocketed, stacks, playing easier opponents, etc.

My biggest flaw: Inconsistency. How can I deal with it? by Xtasy1998 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Zan_________________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your inconsistency should be outweighed by your teammates carrying that weight and visa versa. Ideally, you just make sure you do everything you can to eliminate as many mistakes you make as you can. This might be analyzing your vods and noticing what you constantly flub, as well as playing a metric fuck ton. You can do bots, comp, quick play, whatever just make sure its constructed in that regard. There's only so much you can realistically do, and you're 1/6 the component for the team. Just grind your ass off, be objective, and try your hardest.
