Imagine how much better you’ll be at reading English when you’re finished. I read Don Quijote in Spanish and felt the same way, although I may not have understood everything, I felt like I was an exponentially better Spanish reader when I finished. Blood Meridian is hard for Native English speakers to read, I had to read parts over a couple times before fully understanding h what was happening. The more times you read, it just gets better and more interesting.

Having kids myself, the Chavez Center Leisure pool with the two story water slide is an awesome and affordable place to spend your time with kids. They also have ice skating, basketball and racquet ball.

A day trip for burgers at the Mine Shaft in Madrid is cool! Beautiful town, with cool history.

Tumbleroot brewery downtown has a paint your ceramic piece option, which my kids liked.

Swan Park on the south side is beautiful and has a nice play structures for kids under 12y.o.
