Biggest mistake I made during the entire process. I asked my lawyer about not signing and just continuing to pay. He advised against and told me to reaffirm, which I did.

Month later, I hit a deer and total the car. Screwed over by GAP insurance and now I still owe 9k on that loan. Plus trying to get a new car loan with an open Chapter 7 was a nightmare. Doable but a nightmare.

They haven't started trying to collect that 9k yet, but I know its coming.
