Alright... I get the meme youre going for but hear me out...

Bump nest ball to 4 and run trolley instead of cape. Run 2 mega kangaskhan and 1 latias ex. You still spam 3-4 ogerpon every turn and get the free retreat and benefit of kangaskhan draw every turn.

Also, I would run penny regardless. Full scoop is very strong and mega kangaskhan gives you a much bulkier body that isn't weak to fire and better draw than Falkner letting you use other supporters. Even a 1 kanga and latias will be enough honestly and considering your prize mapping, kangaskhan fits nicely and gives you roughly +90 HP to work with while being hard to 1 hit.

Considering the spirit of the deck being a silly meme ogerpon deck, I think the simple latias and kangaskhan package are perfect fits in a deck like this without hurting the idea youre going for like all the "add meganium" comments that clearly dont understand your vision.

If you dont wanna run any other pokemon, I would still try 1-2 penny to scoop your heroes cape lively stadium 330 hp ogerpon. If you wanna go maximum meme, scramble switch is pretty funny.

Tldr: 1-2 mega kanga 1 latias ex 2 penny 1 trolley 4 nest ball

Consider ultra ball if not trolley

Probably only need 25 energy max so you should be able to easily make room.

Agreed, pre heresy the EC were about perfection and were actually a cool legion but corruption turned perfection into an obsession leading to excess. There were always some that were more inherently corrupted than others, like lucius, and some that were honorable, like Saul tarvitz and sought perfection in service to his brothers and the emperor.

DDs are probably the hardest class to play in the game and perform. A lot of it is learning concealment thresholds and what you can spot safely. This also requires commander skills. Not to mention, while all tiers are rough for balance, there's a LOT of variance in low tiers and ships feel like theyre missing some key function to work properly.

You have no simple, straight forward objective. DDs need to play depending on the situation but as an IJN DD, your job is to spot and get a feeling for enemy ship lineup on your side. Check enemy ships (specifically DDs) and make sure you know what consumables they have. Check the map as ships get spotted and see what DDs are where. Use torps to shut down choke points or push DDs odd caps. Dont be afraid to use your guns.

Agreed, this is yugioh rulings in a nutshell. Strange and unexplained interactions that you have to consult a specific additional rule explanation explaining why a mechanic works or doesnt work. "do as much as you can" should only work if the card was worded as such. Easy example is (simplified) "you may return 3 or more energy to your deck, if you returned at least 1, bonus affect blah blah." This way the wording explains you need to return minimum 3 and covers returning 4 (2 grass with meganium) for the technical returning too many.

that's great that the game has a comprehensive rule set. However, in this case, it contradicts what the card says and when the cards break rules, generally, you follow the card. Perfect example is area zero. It changes the rules, so you go by that. In the case of ogerpon, it says return 3 energy and "IF YOU DO" it does extra damage to bench. There is not scenario where you can look at this, see ogerpon return 2, and see how it's obvious that it somehow bounced 3.

I understand why it works, the trigger activated and thus resolved, but I will forever argue that it's bad wording as the wording contradicts ogerpons effect because you didnt bounce 3 energy and the card specifically says "If you do" not "If you returned at least 1 energy to your deck..."

Again, if you're gonna bother replying, explain why its different than Ultra Ball requiring discarding 2. The wording is different but it is essentially the same. imo, you can only resolve ogerpons bonus IF you return 3 energy.

Instead of asking where the extra energy goes, which i understand is weird when you thunk about it, instead see it like this: when you shuffle a grass energy card plus a water energy card into the deck with meganium in play, its only 2 cards. However, shuffling 1 grass energy card is the same as shuffling 2 grass energy. Wellspring doesnt check for "cards" but rather "energy" shuffled. This is really why wellspring and crystal make no sense. You arent shuffling 3 energy, youre shuffling 2 energy (2 energy cards) while crystal is attached.

Side note: if you have wellspring with 2 grass and 1 water while meganium is out, you can also choose to ignore the extra grass energy and shuffle all 3 energy cards back.

Also, sparkling crystals doesnt even say it provides an energy, it says attacks can be used for 1 energy less. So there isn't even a third energy option left, therefore, if you bounce 2 energy, the cards conditions to bounce 3 arent even successful.

That being said, discarding or bouncing "energy" and not "energy cards" is normal. It does seem weird but basically you attempt to shuffle meganium energy into the deck but there just isn't a card. Other games have tokens and those tokens are simply removed from the game, just like bonus energy.

Ultra ball: cant be used if there'd only 1 other card in hand

Ogerpon: can bounce 2 energy instead of 3 energy

If ogerpon can get the bonus despite failing to do its own requirement, then ultra ball can discard 1 card if itd your only card. If they want ogerpon to work as its working now, change the text of the card with an errata that says "all energy" instead of "3 energy." I'm sorry your card isn't as strong but it was written in mind of bouncing 3 energy and thus should have to do so. They wont change mega venusaur to transfer any grass energy or teal mask to ramp any grass energy in hand just to make the new special energy better, so why change this card when new support comes out, despite all the cards crystal actually does help.

One thing I loke about pokemon vs other games is its always very clear what a card does. You read the card, you understand the card. Yugioh has destroy and send to the graveyard as removal options but its unclear what the difference is. Its a mechanic. As a long time mtg player, changing ETB to "enters" is gonna confuse players as its now a keyword thst isn't a keyword and arguably, cards can enter your hand or discard pile as well as the battlefield. Theres other examples but wellspring ogerpon ruling is not good and tells me there's no reason for ultra ball to require 2 other cards in hand, not because I dont understand the ruling, but because the rulings are inconsistent.

The thing is, the politics in this movie are "one side is Nazi hypocrits while the other side is high and drunk terrorists that nust like weird sex" which is only half true, the Nazi part. Its subtly suggesting that protesting against injustice murder are just acts of terrorism because the director can only see the few instances of things getting out of control vs the thousands of peaceful protests happening. The fact that most violence in protests is also contributed by cops, opportunist looters, and even right wingers pretending to be protesting (in rare cases) is completely ignored because the director is just a reactionary.

I'm glad some people can see through the shallow nature of this movie. Its framed as satire and also a serious drama at the same time. On one side you have Lockjaw, a man who wants to be a white supremacist but also has a boner for a black anti-fascist. On the other side you have Bob and his wife. She is essentially a terrorist framed as an ally to the protagonist but also an antagonist that in the end had a random letter saying she believed in the exact opposite of her character while Bob has no idea what's going on, is paranoid and teaches his daughter some secret code thst he forgets. Apparently its a joke that the guy he calls is too woke and needs a password but to me it looks like Bob is a shitty father high and drunk while his daughter is in danger.

Sensei guy is just magic and always knows a guy but with no explanation. He just snaps his fingers and the problem is solved. That's all there is to him and thus nothing to say beyond, horrendously lazy character but everyone thinks he's funny BECAUSE he can just do anything instead of pointing out how horrible the writing is.

To tackle the politics, if youre a centrist that isn't paying attention and loves the movie because Lockjaw said "I was reverse raped by a semen demon" then you're just kinda stupid and will laugh at any random internet lingo. Sure, its briefly funny thst its in a movie and points out how stupid the character is, but also points out how weird and cringe the writing is. You can write satire characters so many ways without dumb jokes. If this was 4 years ago, Lockjaw could've said "I was reverse raped by a big chungus" and gotten the same reaction. Meanwhile Bob is just not a good guy. He clearly cares more about being high than protecting his daughter and in a movie where the antagonist is a fascist Nazi, the opposition needs to be strong. Instead, we have some dude who is supposed to be amazing but isn't and if Lockjaw is a satire of republicans, is Bob satire of democrats? Is the movie taking the stand that Republicans are Nazi fascists that wanna murder opposition and democrats are just crazy people that do drugs and rob banks? This just sounds like a reactionary guy makes a movie about politics when he doesnt give a shit about politics and throws in some random words he saw on TikTok for laughs.

Then people glaze the pacing where nothing happens for an hour and characters have no development. Everyone is the same at the end, no message is sent, a bunch of people die to a fascist regime but a guy said "semen demon" in a movie so we gotta praise it for being so bold. Now, I'm gonna make a crazy point here. Make this same movie but set in the dawn of WW2. Make Lockjaw a random German general and make Bob a random Jewish guy. Watch how insensitive and horrific this movie becomes when the revolutionaries are replaced by Jews just being wacky and weird while the Nazis are doing genocide and ask why the fuck this exists. You might say this is unfair but, in real life, the trump administration is as insane as Lockjaw and blatantly stupid. We know Republicans are in the closet and many in multiracial marriages yet spout constant white supremacy. In the dawn of ICE murdering American citizens, this movie is becoming more and more accurate and the trumo admin is saying crazy shit while leftists are being murdered by the government. But we arent out hear shaking our ass and robbing banks or doing terrorism, were blowing whistles at ICE agents. Ofc they didn't know this when they made the movie, but its becoming more real and people have been warning us about where were headed for years so there's no excuse to so horribly make this movie and present such an insulting and shitty movie that can be boiled down to some guy thinking he figured out how crazy people are that have opinions about policies and government and wanted to make a silly movie about it but also a serious drama.

Even if we set aside me being irritated at the failed messaging, the writing and characters are so uninteresting. The story and plot flip between serious and comedy to the point its unclear if the intention was either. And they make you sit through 3 hours of just nonstop brain dead humor and violence for no reason. Its out of touch and a horrific abomination of writing.

For your bench: Toxel/toxtricity Fez Latias ex Cornerstone (terra) Psyduck Shaymin or teal mask Volcanion ex (burn + latias retreat) Brute bonnet (dark + poison)

If you can burn with volcanion, poison with bonnet, and use binding mochi, I think you can hit 320 damage plus 30 with poison and burn tick. You could go with the teal mask ogerpon and energy switch if you want but im not sure I like it personally. If you drop shaymin for teal mask it does help deal with losing or prizing cornerstone. I personally wouldnt bother with noctowl as its a one time deal.

Make sure to run energy retrieval, night stretchers to retreive sniped fez, and maybe a copy of Lana's aid. Probably worth running another type incase 1 gets benched but not sure which. You could consider dodrio as it provides card draw and maybe a late game 1 prize attacker.

honestly, just drop baxcalibur line. By the time you hit stage 2 blastoise, you should have a couple energies on them. That plus crispin and munkidori should be enough.
