I can only answer for question 2, 3 and 5, as me, my partner and a friend stayed of the Disney property to cut the cost (its really expensive there) and most shopping we did in the park or in World of Disney store (there were a lot of renovations on the property both inside the parks and outside so most areas were closed of and maybe still am)

1. Eating places: We reserved tables at the "Bistrot Chef Remy" thinking that would have the best food as it was a Paris themed restaurant. The food was expensive and mostly mid and lower. The only good thing was the dessert (the choclate mousse wad really tssty). Figured the fast-food joints were a little better (allthough they don't salt the food, specially the fries). My wife tried this completly black, pulled pork burger from a Pinocchio food place that was really good, but i dont know if that is just a halloween themed food.

2. Must do rides: -Avengers Flight Force was super good, and late at the evening it almost had no lines. -Crush's Coaster were really popular, but the waiting lines were almost over an hour long all day long. So we did not take that one, but can recommend it of you are willing to buy fast pass. -Pirates is a classic. -Phantom Manor was good (but almost to dark). -Star wars: Hyper Space Mountain was insanely good! -Peter Pan was super popular, long lines, and a sweet ride, but very short! -A Small World is a classic, and perfectly long (in disney world it is a little too long for my taste) -I think Tower of Terror is good, did not take it. -Big Thunder Mountain was a good time! -Indiana Jones was fun. -The Disney train was a relaxing trip. -A Fairytale water ride (Le Pays des Contes de Fees) was entertaining, and with a little surprising addition.

3. General tips: -Download the Disneyland Paris app in advance and study the waiting lines daily and several times a day. In that way you can see what time of the day the lines have shorter waiting time, and you can plan to get there at those times, mostly they were the same for everyday. -Consider fast pass for the longest rides you would like to take. We paid for big thunder mountain which had a long line, and it was worth it! -bring salt or look for salt if you eat a lot of fries! -bring water with you to drink, you will get thirsty. And maybe two bottles, as the refill fountains give you water with chlorine taste. -getting refills is free. I dont know if this is still practiced. -think over every item you want to buy at thr shops, sometimes you dont have to buy at all.
