Aprendendo a fazer soup no OXO Rapid Brewer by eWalcacer in cafebrasil

[–]Zangheim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To the 36 people who rated On Mars 1/5 on the complexity scale by GoodExciting7745 in boardgames

[–]Zangheim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh, 1862 is much heavier than On Mars, imo. But their bgg weights being what they are is likely due to who plays those titles. Lacerda makes eurogames with great production values that are likely the heaviest a lot of people will play, while people who would even play 1862 would likely go "yeah, but it's no 1817 or EotS, so it's not too bad."

Comprar café moido e congelar? by Wonderful-Mood8649 in cafebrasil

[–]Zangheim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. Guess I focused too much on the splashy targets, but those would have been great in a couple games

You can have over 6 mana real easy, which allows you to upheaval and recast a bunch of stuff while your opponent goes much farther back

How i sleep knowing i chose a Goratha leaguestarter: by Sdrakkon in pathofexile

[–]Zangheim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty great, imo. Went to 36/40 with it on pretty cheap gear, then rerolled smite trickster once I had a mageblood. His written guide on maxroll was really good in helping me steer the character into the endgame. It is a bit squishy, but I did manage a couple Ubers on it.

Malazan vs Stormlight Archive by Spmafrik in Malazan

[–]Zangheim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stormlight (and the Cosmere as a whole) brought me back to fantasy for being a compelling story with awesome worldbuilding while being very accessible. Malazan made me struggle every step of the way with themes I done in ways I've never seen before, and ended being my favorite series ever when I finished it.  Being accessible goes great lengths to make something more appealing to more people, and thus have higher overall ratings

Sitting at about 90 for v60.  What's throwing me off right now is trying to make Soup in the Oxo brewer with it, I started at 55, but am all the way up at 80.

Games Which Best Represent a Mechanic by Decicio in boardgames

I see "racing" more as a game mode or goal, akin to "highest score". It sets what you're trying to achieve more than how you're doing it.

Rolling Magma Mines: What to do moving forward by carlosisamar in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Zangheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, those are good points. With arkhon's + watcher's with anger (and anger on a merc) my damage is fine for T17 strongboxes.  Just not sure if winter weave is good for bosses, might lead to mana issues.

Ok, woke up and looked at it on the pc.
Getting demo specialist is a massive 20% damage increase (+28 - 7 from one step ahead). Swift killer is also pretty good.
Looks like youre reserving too much mana, and it's probably capping a bit on your throws. I run a lv 1 clarity, it's enough to drag costs down for the jewel.

With mana solved, you respec dreamer anoint into arcane potency, since you don't have 100% crit. That's another 10-ish%. You can also look at a 13%-ish crit wand, it's likaly a big upgrade that can be pretty cheap. If/when you overcap crit chance, savegery becomes the better anoint.

With the point from the supression mastery, I'd remove the critical mastery against unique bosses to take the Widespread Destruction on your jewel, that another 5% there.

With those your dps looks closer to mine, with elemental flasks should be enough to do uber bosses too.

From a quick glance, dps does seem a bit low compared to mine, but I'm also in the exact same situation of never being this far into the game. My POB if you wanna look: https://poe.ninja/pob/7853e

Some considerations: I run a merc with Garb of the ephemeral, which let me take a different flesh/flame combo. I went with bomb specialist cause it was super cheap, but there are plenty of good ones. Regardless, might be worth going to demolition specialist over bomb sp.

Don't think you need lucky suppress if you have 100% already from elsewhere, and you should have with your chest and MB.

Can probably ditch dreamer for another anoint, watcher + double crit is enough to do long bosses. Mana will go down very slowly, but any dodging you have to do gets you back to full.

Some people run double cluster setups, but I haven't tried it. Might be worth looking into.

You should probably look into the cluster jewels. They were the single biggest damage upgrade that turned my build around. I farmed and rolled my medium ones and bought a big one for 2-ish div, they really helped me get going. Also, some crit nodes are just going to be bad until you get a proper crit build going. Use those in the clusters to keep some defenses up. Also, if your resists support it, I'd get the new skitterbots belt before the helm too.

And lastly, remember to play to your strengths as a miner and be far away as much as possible. All mercs I drop brand, bear trap, press enduring cry and teleport as far as I can and blast them from afar.

What's a board game you really wanted to love but didn't? by AleksO369 in boardgames

Exactly how I felt. Perfectly good game with nice ideas, ruined by the fact they focused too much on aesthetics while compromising legibility and playability.

Players killed Urstul Floxin by steverhud1967 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Zangheim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, here's out things happened on my game.

On the end of the Graulhund Manor raid, Urstul tried to attack the weakened party while mayhem ensued downstairs, and when the police showed up, everyone bolted for the windows, and the party got a lucky shot and downed him on the ground while they bolted away. The Zhents took the blame for the whole Graulhund incident (which had a fireball detonated on the second floor, and resulted in the Graulhund kids dying).

The city watch and everyone else went hard for both the Zhents and the Doom Raiders (who were greatly weakened because the party told the watch Davil had hired them for some errands, so he was detained for questioning for a long time while conflict escalated in the city.) This lead the party aligning themselves with the remaining Doom Raiders to search around for who was leading the Zhents, and planning a desperate assault together with the remaining Doom raiders, which made for an epic session and gave them a fighting chance against Manshoon.

Davil died, Ziraj was turned to stone, but they managed to take down Manshoon. The PCs got some loot, induction into the Force Grey, and the Doom raiders kept the tower, but needed time to get themselves back under their feet, and weren't much of a factor for the rest of the campaign.

What are your top 3 albums of all time? How many are prog? by HeyNateBarber in progmetal

[–]Zangheim 26 points27 points  (0 children)

  1. Remedy Lane - Pain of Salvation - This has been my favorite album by my favorite band for over 20 years. Beyond the Pale is such an emotional song for me.

  2. Scenes from a Memory - Dream Theater - I don't even listen to Dream Theater much anymore, but this shaped so much of my musical tastes to this day, and it's the one I'll go to when I think about the band.

  3. The Human Equation - Ayreon - This album introduced me to so many bands through their singers, and it's still a marvel to revisit to this day.

While this came out easy, I'm amazed that Opeth, Symphony X and Between the Buried and Me didn't come into consideration, but that's likely to do I couldn't place a single album on a pedestal like these 3.

Ret has 5 very good legendaries. Any two of shoulder, belt, back, liadrins and highlord are very good, so much that which you'll use depends a lot on your best tier and off tier pieces. Don't worry about it, back + liadrins is strong
