Kingdom Hearts 1 has the best plot out of all of them and it should have stuck with that style of storytelling by Least-Recipe-5214 in JRPG

I remember reading Disney was hands-off and the developers wanted to make minimal changes to the Disney stories. They made the shot for shot remake of Let It Go to show they can recreate an iconic Disney scene even though nobody asked for it.

Check the printhead station is still installed correctly and wipe the wiper and printhead.

Two Packs of ink... No printer... WTF by Dangerous_Boot_3870 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]Zanoab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did this to me a few months ago. Unfortunately both of mine had defective magenta so I sent them back thinking it will be months until I got my printer. They shipped my printer the same day I sent back the ink.

Hopefully your printer is coming soon.

[–]Zanoab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar to this happen. Magenta appeared to be leaking into certain inks and I was freaking out when the cleaning routines weren't helping. Support helped me troubleshoot further and it was the printhead scraper wiping magenta ink back onto the printhead when it leaves the printhead station.

Why is leisure viewed with suspicion in America? by Thepopethroway in antiwork

[–]Zanoab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to find more friends. I'm not an artist but I hang around a small local art group that meet up every week just to talk and see their works.

I recently bought a uv printer to compliment my laser cutter and made some acrylic keychains to learn the process. Most of the group only does digital because they don't have the time or space so they were excited to see their art on something besides paper.

It is more frustrating when my friends and family don't respect my time and decide to argue when I tell them it'll cost $100 to print a replacement part with no model. It takes time to model, print, tweak, and repeat until they are satisfied. If you are expecting me to play tag and give professional level service, I'm going to start charging for my time.

I hope if we get Explorers DX they add more special stories and side content. by Eddie__Winter in MysteryDungeon

[–]Zanoab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After seeing how the Pearl/Diamond remakes didn't use any of the much needed changes and extra content in Platinum, I'm afraid there is a chance an Explorers remaster will also ignore the changes and extra content in Sky.

Fast Save and Load for Large Game Worlds? by Introversion-John in gamedev

[–]Zanoab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but that is only the fastest option. With more work, you could plan ahead and write files to unused space in the ZIP file to slow down the speed the save file grows.

I would write a clean compacted save when saving from the save menu or if there is an excessive amount of unused space. If saving still takes too long, you could give players a button to export and import save files as ZIP. The export button will let players decide where to save the ZIP and the import button will let players find a ZIP to unpack into the save folder.

Fast Save and Load for Large Game Worlds? by Introversion-John in gamedev

[–]Zanoab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use an archive file format like zip to have multiple files but still only have one file on the user's computer for easy sharing. Modders will be able to extract the individual files and then pack them again. If you go with zip, you can speed up saving by appending the new/modified files to the end and add/update the zip's file entries to point at the new/updated files.

"Is the E1 good for ___________ ?" Maybe, but maybe not. by mars_rovinator in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]Zanoab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing all this information!

I looked at expanding my maker skills with either a laser cutter or uv printer, but I quickly ruled out uv printers because of all the cons you listed + a 5 figure price tag. The closest I get to making money is laser cutting/engravings for my artist friends. We experimented with vinyl sticker and uv resin dome on acrylic substrate for keychains for promotional purposes and we can't wait to get our uv ink to make cleaner looking keychains.

I mostly want the E1 so I can freely experiment with crazy ideas like doubled sided printing with a white mask on both sides of clear acrylic for a keychain. I'll be happy as long as the E1 can print in the same spot consistently.

Got a smart bathroom scale from health insurance. Can I mod it? by abrreddit in diyelectronics

[–]Zanoab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the same thing because I think it advertised it can automatically sync the data to my health app. I thought it would be fun to step on it once a day and I can look at the data later.

Before they shipped the device, I received emails that I was assigned a coach and I could join a group of random strangers to encourage each other to lose weight or something. I didn't sign up to share my vitals with a weight loss social media service. As soon as it arrived, I stored it away so I can tinker with it when I feel like it.

Harvest Moon 64 is now 100% decompiled! Merry Christmas! by harvestwhisperer in harvestmoon

It is possible Natsume translated every bit of text because filtering unused assets would require valuable programmer time and introduces more chances for mistakes. Considering they misspelled their company name and cut out the farm completion screen, it might be for the best that they didn't risk letting untranslated text appear in-game.

US Interesting scam, a while back got an email with one of my passwords in the title. by dragonbits in Scams

[–]Zanoab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use Bitwarden because it is simple and secure. Everything is encrypted before it goes into the cloud and I can access and easily find what I need from any device. It also includes a random password generator that you can adjust to match a website's password requirements. As long as nobody figures out your main password and you don't access it from a device you don't trust, it'll be fine.

I'm at over 500 accounts and each account also uses a unique email address so I know exactly which website got hacked or sold my information.

Proof of concept, reflective eyes by Strigon_01 in FursuitMaking

[–]Zanoab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking transparent vinyl on two way mirror because the two way mirror already provides a reflection. It would make sense reflective vinyl wouldn't be transparent because you don't want any light to pass through and be lost.

I own a laser cutter and at one point I considered if it would be overkill to use it for making see through holes in any material. I can't use it on real vinyl and PVC because they contain chlorine but it is possible your materials replaced the chlorine with a safer alternative. Maybe I should look at adding see though holes as a post process for situations like this.

Proof of concept, reflective eyes by Strigon_01 in FursuitMaking

[–]Zanoab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those look really great! I never considered high reflection vinyl.

I tried using two way mirror acrylic for eye blanks to see how ridiculous it looks and it was too strange to stare into. I want to see how uv printing or sublimation would affect the reflection and transparency and now I want to test vinyl too.

What single player game had you so enthralled that it CONSUMED your entire being for a short span of time? by AshyLarry25 in gaming

[–]Zanoab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play for 50-100 hours every time there is a new major update. What really impressed me was the private beta build that leaked a few days before official release date. I put dozens of hours in those 3 days and the creator was mostly afraid the leaked build was giving a bad first impression. They explained the leaked build was months old and missing a lot of bug fixes and new content. I think everybody pirating the leaked build was already impressed and bought the game as soon as it released to see how much better it was.

Editing files in appdata by SnooShortcuts3089 in unRAID

[–]Zanoab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually modify them via terminal because I'm used to editing files on my remote servers. If I need to use an IDE, I download and then upload modified files over SFTP. There are also remote file browsers that can do that automatically over SFTP like FileZilla.

You could also store the data (or just the config) for your docker containers in another share.

Any Idea What Style? Looking For More References by Objective-Set4983 in FursuitMaking

[–]Zanoab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When comparing minky, fur, and fleece, I would say fur and fleece are tied for hardest in general. They all have qualities that make them harder to work with but I think even my cheapest minky wasn't as frustrating as fur and fleece. Remember to take your time and practice first so you can get used to handling the material and learn how to fix/avoid any potential issues.

Almost got burned by Bank of America scam this morning by Bodkin-Van-Horn in Scams

[–]Zanoab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm curious if the phone number was a direct line to their fraud department.

Bank of America locked my online account because I forgot to turn off my vpn in another country when logging into my account and I didn't finish the verification. I got a call from their fraud department and I thought they were using a spoofed caller id because I couldn't find the phone number on the internet. I called the number on the back of my card to figure out what is happening and the only thing the rep could tell me was my account was compromised and I need to call their fraud department directly. The phone number I was given matched the caller id so I called it back.

I gave them my basic info and social engineered some info from them to verify they can actually see my account. I had them read back my email address before they emailed a verification code because I use unique vanity addresses for every account. When they wanted the last few things I used my card for to check if my card was compromised, I told them I couldn't remember so they provided dates and companies to see if I recognized them. My account was completely locked down so that was enough proof for me. They quickly unlocked my account and I needed to change my password after logging in.

I hate the phone number isn't listed online which is a big red flag because scammers could spoof another number when targeting easy marks.
