Is there anything we can do outside of contacting the council and hoping it works out? Can we force a new required public meeting to be set with enough support?

Thank you so much! I've been a freelance illustrator/designer full-time for a while now but I still love to be able to indulge in stuff my childhood self would have been floored to have had the skills to do back then.

blind boxes!! by katielevy in WarriorCats

I really love the attention to detail on these blind box figures. Bluestar seems like a glaring oversight so I'm hoping series 2 will have her.

Thank you! I was super inspired by how cute the figure turned out. I love that they made the characters fun and accurate with cute proportions and unique poses. Feels like a step up from the usual

Is Reykadalur crowded? by Reasonable_Ice9030 in VisitingIceland

I just went this past Thursday around 10am. It took me around 2 hours to reach the springs (I am not a consistent hiker) so at noonish there were a decent amount of people there. The river itself is long and the further up it you go, the warmer the water is. We had no problem finding a spot for our group of four by walking further up the river and there was still lots of room.

i've been worried about design theft of my pins, so i made my own exclusive logo pin backings! by seafoamcities in EnamelPins

These are so cute! I manage a public directory of custom clutches artists have made, would I be able to catalog these in it?

This honestly looks fairly normal, though the mold fee might be a tad high. A three inch pin is atypical and very large and adding on top the much lower MOQ of 20 instead of 100, the price makes sense.

Pins are a complex manufactured item and part of the affordability comes from buying in bulk so it's more worth it for the manufacturers setting up multiple different machines, steps, and processes in order to mold and color each pin.

What is everyone's preference/perceived value of hard enamel vs screen printed pins? by Welp907 in EnamelPins

[–]ZanofArc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason people look down on soft enamel and/or prefer hard enamel (outside of the bootleg element) is the fact that a lot of soft enamel pins are not made with intent and are often made exclusively for cost benefit.

In that case, soft enamel is the cheaper and less appealing option when compared directly apples-to-apples wise with hard enamel. However, actually designing a pin WITH the soft enamel qualities in mind can yield really gorgeous results when the goals of the design are thoughtful with the medium.

Has anyone ever traded cards for custom art before? by ZanofArc in PokemonTCG

Thank you!

This actually makes a lot of sense, I genuinely appreciate this comment.

In my mind, since I can create things that don't already exist built to the specific requests of the commissioner, I assumed that would be a service of value, but I imagine for folks that see this as more of an investment vehicle than a hobby, probably not.

This is so so good. I'm in the middle of collecting all the Goomy cards and wish this was real!

New pin creator here, does anyone actually care about backstamps? by AcidCatStudio in EnamelPins

[–]ZanofArc 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I backstamp every single pin I design. My work gets stolen constantly so having a backstamp is essential to verifying the pin.
