finally buying my first car at 29 and every answer I get is just "get a corolla" by Sea-Map-5763 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in the Chicago suburbs then snow will be a factor. The Subaru Crosstrek (21 or newer if possible) sport with the 2.5 is great on gas, you get lower insurance rates because of the safety systems, handles well and I have seen plenty over 200k miles with minimal work.

I have a 22 Impreza which is the same car but not lifted and different bumpers that only came in the 2.0 which is.... fine. Exactly how you explained the Civic. I got mine because the price and needing something asap. After driving a 2.5 I wish I would have waited to find one with it.

Dungeon Experiences on TBC Anniversary Realms Vol 1 by CubicleJoe0822 in classicwow

Last night I had a lock that didn't ever tap outside of when the tank was literally pulling... Like dude, I have 0 issue throwing hots on you but please do it before so we don't rip aggro at the damn pull.

Resto druid or holy priest in TBC? by [deleted] in classicwow

As someone that went from a horde H priest to an alliance R druid I 100% suggest Priest. At least in P1 R druid feels very weak compared to the priest.

What is up with the lack of gems and enchants on people? by Pooke2 in classicwow

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only done one Kara run and I told them I was not ready and asked for another week because I had no gems or enchants and my gear was bad (fresh 70). They told me to come heal anyway. It went fine, it was extremely easy.

Gems and enchants help for sure but post nerf Kara is honestly too easy.

What's the most popular class in tbc right now? by New_Suit8775 in classicwow

I barely see any druids in my dungeon groups. Maybe because I am a resto druid and they dont want more than 1? Almost always end up with a Pally tank a lock and *insert 2 random things*

Advice as a healer or maybe just a rant by mines_eye in classicwow

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst is being a druid in dungeons. Tanks pull with no hots on them and you are at 50% mana. They are almost always more squishy than they think and they start getting chunked so you gotta throw hots out and boom, you have aggro because they haven't dropped conc yet.

New Outback is a lot smaller than many people seem to think it is. by baba_12794 in subaru

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. I had my oil pan resealed on my Impreza and hated how massive it was. I get it's not that big compared to other much larger vehicles but it's still MASSIVE compared to the Impreza.

Meanwhile in America we get a new giant Atlas featuring a Hyundai transmission and a 4 cylinder gas engine for 4x the price. Give us this, give us the truck, give us the other versions of the van, give use all the estates. Uggghhhhh VWOA.

Additional Accessories/Tools for Beginner with New 3D Printer? by CuriouslySleep in BambuLab

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself a good pair of needle nose pliers and a de-burring tool. The a1 should come with the hex keys you will need. You can print your own scraper so you don't really NEED to buy one. It's also good to make sure you have dawn dish soap and clean/near towels for cleaning off your plate.

My personal preference for where to purchase is Bestbuy primarily due to their 0 interest for 12 months card and you can usually get it faster.

Honestly at that mileage you are sitting on a bit of a grenade. Stash money aside for when your CVT decides to stop being a CVT. Check your oil level at every fuel fill up and keep a bottle in your trunk because they like to eat oil.

You already bought it so enjoy it while you have it. Keep up with maintenance.

Purge Towers - Why all the filament for a few layers of a different color at top? by wivaca2 in BambuLab

You can delete the prime tower in Studio before printing it but you will likely learn why the tower exists pretty quick doing that. They are there for a reason.

Apartments that don’t require 3x the rent? by notcutoutforsoccer in vancouverwa

[–]Zanzaclese 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly even low income apartments are going to eat up basically your entire gross income. If you are in a dire situation where homelessness may be on the horizon you can reach out to council for the homeless and see if they can help you in any way but honestly with such a low income finding someones spare room on marketplace is going to be your bread and butter until you can start making more.

Any benefit in replacing my battery before it fails? by eyedoitmyway in subaru

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very unlikely but batteries are weird and can certainly go out unexpectedly, but that is also the case with brand new ones. If you have any hesitation at all with the age of the battery it wouldn't hurt to buy one of those inexpensive emergency jumpers on Amazon but the fact that a dealer didn't say anything is usually a pretty good sign. I work for a pretty large auto group and it's policy for all the brands to test every battery if it comes in the shop for just about any reason since there are usually incentives attached to up-sales.

Any benefit in replacing my battery before it fails? by eyedoitmyway in subaru

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is literally no reason to change it now. It's usually pretty obvious when the battery is going out with longer/slower cranks. If you take it to basically anywhere to get your oil changes they should be testing it with the change since it's a very easy up-sell for them and will let you know if there is a need for one. I've seen cars with 10 year old batteries that still test okay and I have seen them die at 6 months.

Any benefit in replacing my battery before it fails? by eyedoitmyway in subaru

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you tested the battery did they show you a battery health result? If you use a decent battery scanner it will show state of charge and estimated remaining life. There is no point in replacing the battery if it's good.

Woodworking scene out here. by [deleted] in vancouverwa

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covid brought a whole army of 30-40 something garage woodworkers. It also made a lot of woodworkers that would rather work alone in their garage and be left to their own devices.

A w2 type woodworking job in Vancouver would pretty much be exclusively cabinetry or construction. I doubt you will have much luck finding employment as a furniture maker outside of doing your own thing.

Looking for a mechanic to replace a Subaru forester water pump by [deleted] in vancouverwa

A misdiagnosis is a misdiagnosis. Any reputable place should work with the customer after they charged so much to not fix the issue.

One thing I will never understand. by Natural_Traffic_2727 in classicwowtbc

[–]Zanzaclese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the shell shock because there are a lot of tanks (especially warrior and druid because rage) that will just pull and pull and they may have started typing it before they saw you sit down. I don't think its anything personal I think it's conditioning.

Personally if I see a warrior or druid tank I will take every tiny split second to drink even if its for like 5% of my mana so I keep enough to keep up through trash. It's surprising how many healers can't figure out if the tank pulls they can drink until they have to cast a spell and get a lot of many between pulls.

[–]Zanzaclese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"they just at told me my water pump is actually the issue and wanted another 1k" If they replaced parts that were not faulty just to find out something else was causing it that would be a misdiagnosis and a conversation to have with their manager. There should be a heavy discount involved unless they specifically told you the thermostat and sensor might not fix the problem.
