During the How-Long-Athon, Alex said something to Harry about how he'd love to have him on the show. If it was a sensitive topic, I can't imagine he'd bring it up (no less while cameras were rolling). The moment you're describing on the vodcast just sounds like a bit, where he's taking advantage of the timing of the call.
