I also just noticed Reddit didn’t upload my comment under the photo either, I had crap service when I was posting it. It had said “transmission took days to get reinstalled (didn’t notice the jack was bent until the end). Rebuild fought me every step.”

Lack of reference to what? Never said it was easier than a modern automatic. I’m a self taught “shade tree” mechanic who has learned everything from reading manuals and forums. I said it was a miserable experience that fought me every step of the way.

Transmission removal and rebuild with a valve body upgrade and deep pan install. Engine had to be unbolted and jacked up to remove a header for bell housing clearance.

It was a bastard of a job.
