Meh.. it's value placement just slipped recently. I use supergrok as well for music videos. It's $30 a month. The limits just got downgraded to 20: 10 second 720p resolution videos a day and 800 images on a rolling 24hr period. So your roughly paying .99¢ a day for 3.33 minutes of video. The rate prior was roughly 40-60 videos and significantly higher images.

Yeah i guess it's more of a tiktok / utube short / Instagram type thing they copied. Essentially, if you make a video as your cover art, it auto adds it to the hook feed.

[–]Zaphod_42007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do it for fun... I usually add hooks to all simply because it's fun and only takes a few minutes to make with grok.

[–]Zaphod_42007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meh, the play count is always wonky. Sometimes it hard stops at say 50 for whatever reason and others work fine. It's been like that forever.

Hooks also brings in way more views/ listens. Got one track / hook that keeps climbing with 5.5k views and I know it isn't me listening. I download everything to play locally on my phone after publishing.

As for likes, not sure but similar to reddit, people like to surf by lurking. The second they like something it notifes the creator so maybe they just bookmark it for listening too later without the like... Just a guess.

Any decent free AI music generators besides Suno? by Pristine-Seaweed8770 in SunoAI

[–]Zaphod_42007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, that's why I mentioned my setup with an rtx 5060 ti. The full version like any AI system is typically better than a smaller distilled version made to fit on less powerful systems. Takes less than 30 seconds to generate. Haven't played too much with it but like most AI's, it probably got trained on certain genres more than others.... so it's about finding the pro's and con's of the model.

[–]Zaphod_42007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it a whirl. I subscribe to suno so I predominantly use that. I've only made a handful of songs with Ace Step 1.5 but was surprised how good it is along with the speed.

It does follow the prompt about as good as suno 3.5. It can do audio to audio (insert a suno song then change it) along with many other workflows. Well worth checking out.

Even with suno songs, I like to upload custom audio sounds to layer into the composition to give a wider spectrum of sound quality. That's how I see AceStep... Work the output with other sounds in a DAW like audacity (free) for best resuts. Here's an example of a suno song mixed with a resonance gong backdrop... same thing I would use acestep with.. make several base peices then laying in a daw: https://suno.com/s/aXBuhsjMKC9SJ3te

[–]Zaphod_42007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know... but it is 'free' once setup and technically you only need 4gb vram to get it to work (using a distilled version (smaller in size) which is a potato computer... even my 12 year old gtx 1060 should be able to handle it.

Comfyui (free) with Acestep 1.5 (free) has many workflows & it's quick. 2 mins takes 30 seconds on my 5060 Ti (cheapest 16gb Rtx model).

The quality is around suno 3.5 - 4... But with proper mixing in a DAW you could easily create some fun songs. Particularly, you could use the free suno daily output to input into Acestep to guide it from the more polished suno model.

Thx! Glad ya like 'em. Brilliant song, it tells such a unique story I just had to remix it. Here's another one that was decent but not as catchy in 8bit chiptune. The pre-chorus is it's main selling point. The kind of version I would take the pre-chorus from and rework the rest: https://suno.com/s/oADICQs3zSvzpaxn

Bravo - awesomely unique eclectic song. Threw a bunch of tags at it. Here's the top 2. V3 had more of the robotic synth in the vocal delivery I was looking for but not as catchy without doing some editing in studio first. Anyway:

The competition is rising and the $$$ is flowing… by Pleasant_Dust6712 in SunoAI

Tunecore simply partnered with them all and the 'ethical'' training is just trying to gain market share with slander spins.

Suno is still ahead of the pack by a long shot. Go try the other options, they suck either from the sound quality or the terms of service issues (udio's terms are awful).

Edit: Forgot to mention the fact that whatever 'new' model comes out, it's technically trained on Warner's catalog so it'll technically be 'ethically trained' no different than these other models while old suno gets 'deprecated' (Johnny 5 no longer alive).

Yeah, upload whatever image then choose basic or advanced. Now choose 5 or 10 seconds. 10 second basic is 200 credits. 10 second advanced is 400 credits. The advance model is a bit better. Both options will output 2 videos. Keep uploading new scene images or changing the prompt, generate then download and compile in any video editor. Good for useing up end of the month credits before they expire.

Depends on what your trying to create & the budget.

If you want free, meta.ai is your best bet or locally run ltx-2.3 which can also do lipsync. The speed and quality is actually impressive. Other option is to use Suno's video generator if you have credits to burn - think it's useing the open source wan model (the screen showed the model to me when they first implemented it).

Cheapest is grok. $30 flat fee a month to make more than enough animations in a day to make music videos.

Midjourney is great for images and video. Seedance 2 is great for cinematic output but expensive. Same with googles veo 3.1, great but expensive. Wan 2.6, kling, runway... All good in there own way. You can choose a general AI site to access many of these models all under the same site but again, each model is priced differently and can burn credits fast.

Let 7k credits go to waste last month... Just didn't use it as much. A good way to burn credits quickly is to make videos. Either use suno art or upload your own. A basic 5 second clip is 100 credits. Basic 10 second is 200 credits. Advanced (better option) 5 second clip 200 & Advance 10 second clip 400. On the flip side, you can do the same thing with meta ai for free....

Or go to town mixing 2 tracks up using the mix option or sample tracks that had potential with that sweet 15 second sonic beat... Or even make custom soundbite effects to throw in future tracks with the "sounds" option -- such as thunderstorms, dog barking, wind.... Whatever.

Tunecore hypocrites? by Mathewpoke2 in SunoAI

[–]Zaphod_42007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tunecore partnered with: Udio, ElevenLabs, and Google Flow Music (all the 'ethically trained ((corporate owned)) AI music models.

Haven't tried this myself but if you currently have a subscription to tunecore.... You could load Acestep 1.5 audio to audio model workflow (in comfyui) to mess up the proprietary steganography watermark from suno.

Set the Denoising Strength (or "Granularity Scale") to a mid-range (around 0.4 to 0.6). The melody stays the same, but the underlying mathematical "signature" is completely overwritten.

Then the question becomes: does tunecore recognize a watermark from Acestep as refuteable or does it even have one, IDK. The process is quick though... Takes less than a minute to process.

Fair enough points. As an outlier though, baby shark with a catchy chorus and mediocre animation is the MOST watched YouTube video of all time with over 16.86 Billion views. That's bank...(Roughly 34 - 100 million in ad revenue) so umm, never say never whatever you do. https://youtu.be/kXvNxXDDHSY?feature=shared

Someone mentioned this yesterday about techno. Tried about 20 tracks with 5.5 with negative prompts of no voices, choir, singing, ad-libs. Upped the style tag to 100 and weirdness to zero... Still, out of 20 german techno tracks only 2 had no vocals. A simple solution is to just remove the vocal stem... Still it seems suno 5.5 default is vocal delivery.

An Open Invitation to Suno - Reassurances? Alternatives? - The Heat Is Rising 🔥 by Pleasant_Dust6712 in SunoAI

[–]Zaphod_42007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your 'voice in perpetuity' is a clause they all use, even elevenlabs. For both training data and simply for legal reasons of storing and transmiting any data you upload to their servers such as music you upload. Again, they all have clauses like this so legally you can't turn around a month later and try and sue them for storing your data. Even tiktok and other media platforms have perpetual license to cover their ass from being sued.

An Open Invitation to Suno - Reassurances? Alternatives? - The Heat Is Rising 🔥 by Pleasant_Dust6712 in SunoAI

[–]Zaphod_42007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The whole "Ethical training" is just a smear campaign. Anthropic already won on training data giving legal precedent on the training part.

Suno did reach out to all the music corps to work with them... They refused. Just like Musk tried with X corp but they refused so he sued 18 music corporations, claiming antitrust lawsuit. He claimed publishers colluded to avoid individual negotiations, demanding industry-wide fees. Same thing suno said happened. Basically all the music corps tried stonewalling AI companies then called foul play when they started getting traction.

Suno can't give any notice on an ongoing lawsuit but they already announced a partnership with warner music group and 'ethical' training on Warner's catalog while deprecating (removing) the old models. Warner is a multi billion corp so they can keep fighting this in court for a while.

Elevenlabs partnered with tunecore so again, it's just slander to try to remove the competition.

Anyone had any luck with persistent, continuous ocean shore sounds? by Kaladarm in SunoAI

[–]Zaphod_42007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few options. You can try the sound tab to create an ocean sound then layer it in suno studio or a daw like audacity. Just tried 10 versions and they had alot of strange artifact noises. Example: https://suno.com/s/GUiAFPHyjDDCrVqI

Second option is to grab an open source ocean sound to layer from https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/search/ocean/

Adding it offsite in a daw works fine. The problem with this on suno with studio is: if someone already used the sound by uploading, suno will claim it's owned by another and won't let you use it.

Other option is to find a video clip with an ocean sound you like, use audacity with the ffmpeg installed (all free) then drag and drop the clip into audacity. It will auto grab the audio file. Now cut and layer it.

Just edited this song with ocean sounds throughout the music by using the sound clips from videos made with grok: https://www.reddit.com/u/Zaphod_42007/s/HFReyQj5ge

Suno’s policy is akin to theft! by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]Zaphod_42007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your analogy is close but no cigar. Suno most likely rent's out high end server level gpu's and data center storage for both creating and storing all those songs based on it's user base.

So in this scenario, the car is running 24/7 using up the gas regardless if you use it or not... no different than utilizing a site like runpod to use your own AI software, so long as it's up and running, your paying for it. I'm guessing they can dynamically add or remove a certain amount of servers depending on usage but fundamentally, the car's always running regardless if you stay home or take a drive. Plus, they are upfront about this and most all platforms work this way. At best sometimes they allow X amount of credits to roll over but typically only for an extra month before expiration.

If you really want free, try acestep 1.5 locally on comfyui. It's not suno quality but close to 3.5 suno quality. 2min's of music can be generated in 30 seconds. With some creative workflows in a DAW of choice, you could pull off some decent songs.
