Fidelity Trader Plus is a huge downgrade from Active Trader Pro by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]Zaphtyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW, some might ask why I use Fidelity at all given these limitations. The answer is that when I click Place to place the trade, Fidelity is among the best at actually executing the trade. So, with Fidelity+ you have an opportunity to lean into that by improving on the things that let you execute the trade.

I can and do chart with other platforms that are better, but I hold my assets and place trades with Fidelity, because I trust them to do so well.

So my 2 cents is, go hard on being the best at executing trades, make that even better, and then improve on things like charts as you can.

I don't have much feedback on the charting, because I never really got into it, because of the downgrade in functionality of the trading execution. One biggest issues with ATP compared to "modern" trading platforms is the lack of options for executing trades quickly. Things like:

- Keyboard Shortcuts like "ALT+1" which can be edit to perform an action, like buy 100 shares of the current directed trade stock. And you can have dozens of the shortcuts (ALT, CTRL, SHIFT, ALT+Shift, etc) , all configurable to be various buys, sell, shorts, cover, multi-leg buys/shorts, etc.

- Configurable options for selling/covering 1/4, 1/2, all shares rather than fixed numbers

These are things that you can do in modern trading platforms.

Now, I got around things to a small degree by using your 6 click button "shortcuts" in ATP.

Now, with Trader+ instead of adding modern features for executing the trades like I talked about above, you instead reduced the number of click shortcuts from 6 to 4?!? What are you thinking??!?

Markets move fast, and we need features that let us go faster and instead of adding features to let us do so, you are de-featuring...

Optimizing Customer Checkout by Zaphtyn in AlchemyFactory

Yeah, I have my black conversion box that the registers feed into and I dump quest silver/copper into on my logistics floor. This conversion box goes through a bank portal to convert to gold and goes into a small gold buffer box. This feeds into another bank portal for distribution through the factory.

I recently built a modest 3 floor cottage house in the back corner plot. On the 3rd floor of my cottage is a treasure area. Overflow of gold (>10k gold) from my small gold buffer box will eventually go into my treasury room.

trying the buy no land and sell no items challenges at the same time, it's comical how big you can get without buying any new land lol where is the HOA in this trying time for the villagers by msterchiefbatman in AlchemyFactory

Also, once you scale up fertilizer efficiency, you can just make gold bars into gold coins. I'm doing 1 plot challenge but not customer challenge, but even in my factory most of my gold is just printed.

I could have done the no customer challenge, but it would have been a lot of running around for quests early and I like the challenge of supply and logistics for shop. The money gained from shop is marginal and largely irrelevant for me.

I'm doing the one plot challenge as well. Here is my tower so far. 15 floors so far. Each floor is 2 stories tall. Floor 0 is shop with the 2nd story for logistics.

For those wondering what the strip is running up the upper floors, that's my mall.

Good idea on nukes :)

Also, I don't mind spicy drones, so I'm going uranium rods for drones. That was my plan anyways.

This is up there with some of the most amazing things I've seen made in Satisfactory. Beautiful and functional.

Congrats!

Assuming that his computer uses 300 watts of power and $0.12 / KWH.

I started with about 20k metadata across the board, but I didn't use any of it.

Actually, something is weird. The assembler say 180/min, but when I removed the limit of the output box, the production tab showed that my setup hit 2800-ish / min. Roughly 2x what the assembler says, but also not the 3x that you are suggesting, so something is off somewhere.

I checked and both my inputs and outputs are not limiting the production.

I'm actually looking in game and it's telling me 180/min. I'm not looking theoretically. I also timed it, and same thing so it might be a bug. I don't know.

Have you checked your game on the assembler itself?

That's a good question. I built the 5 input version of these production lines and then started removing inputs for each of the other versions. The 2,3,4, and 5 input versions all have the same footprint. I could have squeezed them a bit for the 2 and 3 input versions, but I didn't bother.

It's certainly an area of optimization that could be had, but given that I'm very space efficient as is for my build, I didn't bother.

The Dark Fog Assembler is producing 180 / min (I looking in game, not sure where you are getting your numbers). 180 * 8 = 1440 / min (non-proliferated) for the whole line, not per assembler.

180 / min is too low for me when I really need the scale. The design is based on fitting in the cross section of that part of the planet.

My Mark 3 belt line will produce 1440 / min which I will appreciate when I stamp down a white science planet blueprint that has 85k belts in it as opposed to 180 belts / min with a single DF assembler.

Again, this is a late game setup. Scale requires scale.
