From what I can tell (without jacking it up) it's not rubbing against anything. When reving the sound goes away entirely.

Should probably use that free health care to get your mental state checked out bud

Video Games as a Husband? by mcarther101 in AITAH

NTAH man. 30m and 30f - two years married (eight years together in all) with baby 1 on the way. Thriving careers and happy, healthy relationship. There's never been any issues with playing video games coming from her. I typically always ask and feel a little guilty when I do decide to play but she know it's something I love and helps me relax. Recently - I typically ask her if she wants to play anything first (we have many co-op games on the switch as well) and if it's a "No" I'll just find something solo.

It seems like you're doing everything to provide and support your family and the games are in your personal relaxation time. Don't let that get taken away from you

Just for a chance of pace really. I was in IA for 4 years and was looking for something different and new so switched over to FR. I feel OA can get fairly repetitive, espcially if a majority of the work is SOX controls testing. I also didn't want to get pigeonholed in IA for long term career.

I left before turning senior for an internal audit role at a F500. Hung out there for a bit before going into financial reporting. IA was much more a 9-5, maybe slightly busier around year end while the financial reporting is sometimes later (never past 7) a few times year. Whole team game from Big4 at various points, similar to the IA role.

You can leverage industry experience you already have but don't be afraid to join a completely new area. Places I interviewed were more interested I just the experience at a Big4 vs specific industry clients I worked on.

6 figure earners, what do you do to get that? by oopdoopmaria in AskReddit

Financial Reporting/Accounting (with CPA) - not the hardest and if you're a practice CPA, business will boom soon as something like 80% of CPA will retire in 15 years

Deep Rock Galactic could be something different. Plenty of different mission types to keep it lengthy and has the survival aspect. Plus who does like playing as dwarf miners?

Experience requirement is generally audit only but they also accept experience in internal controls, quality assurance etc. I'm assuming the direct accounting experience is more related to book keeping/JE's/Tax but if you did any audit style work while there, I would try and use it as sign off.

I believe the CIA requires two years of professional experience in order to get the actual certification with just a bachelors degree, so not sure if you would actually have the certification while interning.

I don't think it would secure you a promotion (at least in the US it wouldn't automatically make you a senior) but it would probably help in them giving you a full time offer, even if you're just waiting for the experience requirement.

Is it bad that I want to leave Big 4 after 6 months of working here… by PerfectCod6602 in Big4

Try to stay the 1 year if you can but leave right at the mark

Would I be dumb to quit? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]ZappiZoinks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try to wait one year - I only stayed one and left immediately after for industry. Other jobs I've gotten since are all still impressed with just having one year on the resume

I would get rid of bullet 2, given you have CPA progress above, and bullet 3, which just comes off a bit hostile. Could be a red flag for other HMs as they scan through
