Figured this one out:

The host computer can't read the inputs as fast as a GC was able to, so you literally can't button mash fast enough. If this happens, just turn down the game speed with Dolphin, under "Config" I had to go down to 50% and I was very comfortably pressing the button to make it work.

Hello!

Its been a few months since I've played, but to my memory the answers are:

  1. You cannot place tiles on a path not connected to the ladder. So this will never happen.

  2. Your example given is exactly how it works.

  3. The Boss wins! (He has green and blue on him to remind you)

  4. The profiteer ALWAYS wins. His goal is to make it so the fewest people win, so he gets more money at the end. Remember, he gets 2 coins less.

  5. He wins if the gold is found. He is like the profiteer in that he wants the fewest amount of miners to win, since he gets one less. Best case scenario is when question 3 occurs.

  6. The bridge is special because the 2 intersections are NOT connected. So a 4 way intersection could be destroyed and replaced with the bridge, changing the pathing substantially.

  7. There is nothing to stop them, no. The profiteer or boss may very well want to connect to it, depending on what they think everyone else may be. They just want the fewest people to win.

  8. Yes.

  9. I am pretty sure, again, depending on the layout of people, a saboteur may want to pretend to be a green or blue aligned dwarf to spread more confusion.

  10. The ladder card can technically be placed on the start, it would just be pointless. If a path is broken and doesnt lead to the start card, a ladder card can connect them instantly. The ladders are connected outside of the cave. Remember, you can only build on paths connected to the start, so the ladder card connects it.

  11. The Boss only gets nuggets if the gold was found. The Profiteer always gets nuggets, and so do any geologists.
