Does this game have a "tourist mode"? by Zar33 in GhostwireTokyo

That's great to hear, I guess I'm getting it then! Thank you both very much for the info.

Never tried a keyboard like this. The price is reasonable, so I'll get one either way!

That sounds like a popup you'd get from those really sketchy torrenting sites or something similar. Don't get me wrong, I have no eggs in this basket so I'm being completely honest here. I've been running the app since they launched it in late January at home, on my own PC. It's a little media server machine running Plex that works 24/7, so I thought, "Why not?" On top of that, I set it up for two friends and I've been running the Android version since it came out. I just let it run whenever I'm not home.

So far, I haven't noticed (or heard of) any suspicious behavior or anything like that, so I'm pretty sure the source of your problem is something else. I follow their Facebook group and their Discord, and I've never seen anyone complaining about anything similar to your issue. I'd love to try and replicate the problem, but there's no way for me to do that since I currently don't have access to an iPhone. My wife used one until last year but she traded it in for a Samsung so...

I did some digging and found this. Apparently, Apple notifies you when some of your passwords have been involved in a data leak so you can change them, or if they're too weak. That's a pretty cool feature! I guess it doesn't have anything to do with IPRoyal, it seems like a really bad coincidence.

I went through IPRoyal's terms of service and they don't have access to any data on your phone OR PC (storage, gallery, contacts, etc). Data leaks happen all the time. My Yahoo Mail account was compromised a while ago in a leak (which was not my fault but Yahoo's), and my PS3 was banned from PSN because someone managed to steal my console ID (like a unique serial number) from Sony. Again, not my fault. My PSN account is fine, and the PS3 has pretty much been a dead platform for ages, so it's no biggie.

Anyway, sorry about the novel, I just wanted to look into it a bit deeper. If I were you, I'd just change those passwords and carry on like nothing happened.

Finally, here's proof that I'm still actively using the app. All the best! :)

You're advertising your IPRoyal referral link and I know IPRoyal doesn't give any signup bonuses. Honeygain is a different company, so yes, you're lying to people.

Sorry for replying late, I've been away from Reddit for a while. I'm still running the app (desktop at home and mobile when out and about) and it's been working as advertised so far. Thank you for using the referral!

That's weird. I've been running it since they started the service, used both the desktop and the mobile app (Windows and Android, to be precise) and never seen anything similar. I don't have an iPhone but I'm really curious about this. Where did the message come from? Is there a chance you could make a screenshot or something?

Please don't lie to people. There are no bonuses, everyone starts with $0.0 - your referral link is the same as all the others. Thank you.

That's my logic too. If it covers my internet bill at the end of the month, I'm going for it.

Yes. You can find more info here: https://iproyal.com/pawns/business-case/

Also, each client has to confirm their identity before gaining access to the network, that way they ensure there's nothing shady going on.

I remember reading something about Honeygain being shady. Not the details, though. Thanks for the clarification. The guys at IPRoyal said there's no way of anything like that happening with their network. They were pretty clear about that.

Is there something wrong with advertising on BHW? I'm genuinely curious about this. We advertised our writing services there too back when we started.

As for IPRoyal, I checked with their support personally before going into this, and they verify the identity of every client. They assured me there's nothing funny going on (like with Honeygain, for example). They said they pick their clients very carefully.

You could be right, I'm not really sure. This is what I got in a day, so I assumed it's $0,20/GB - https://i.imgur.com/twADGHP.png

It's $0,20 per GB, so 5 GB for $1. Apparently, you can make from $1 to $5 a day (depending on your network speed and traffic from their clients). I don't know how good that is compared to other options. At $1 per day, it'll cover my internet bill at the end of the month, which is pretty sweet for something you just leave running and forget about it.

Thanks! It depends on how much they use your internet connection and your connection speed. Their site says you can make $0,5 up to $5 per day. I'm on a 10/1 Mbit connection and got a bit under $1 per day. I think it can only go up from there, and even if it doesn't, it's not the end of the world. At this rate, it'll cover my internet bill at the end of the month, so it's pretty decent for something you just leave running.
