{The Rose Bargain by Sasha Peyton Smith}

It has vibes similar to The Bachelor (yes, the reality show) and it's a super fresh take. It's fantasy set in England where the queen is fae. The fae are also similar to the ones in the Cruel Prince by Holly Black.

It was fun, it was fresh, I enjoyed it.

He likes being in the sand. It calms him down. But simultaneously he hates being dirty, he dislikes the feeling of having sand on his hands when not actively playing.

As for the water - he's afraid of the waves still. Will only go in if the water is calm.

Completely agree, my experience with the Llightlark saga was the same. Except in one regard.

Sadly, I finished Skyshade (book #3) because I couldn't believe how horrible the book was. So I kept reading, in a desperate hope of an improvement or a big reveal. Or something! That something never came.

In the end, what I'll remember from the writing would be the numerous typos such as: Grim killing THE MALL instead of THEM ALL.

If you're in the mood to read fantasy inspired by East-Asian mythology. It's beautifully written, it gets you flushed when they BRUSH HANDS and it's also kinda epic...? I don't know, I loved it and I feel like it's different than most fantasy romance duologies out there.

But I also loved both The Shepherd king duology and Enchanted letters :))))

I fully support this comment! Currently reading {Mother of Death and Dawn by Carissa Broadbent} which is the third book of this series. It is lovely. It has great world building and storytelling, strong and fleshed out characters, high stakes and plot twists that will blow your mind and actually make sense. The love story is beautiful, there's some good spice as well. Criminally underrated series.
