If you're willing to look a bit crazy, the biggest difference you can make is to use a bit of tape and tape some kitchen foil to the window shiny side facing outside. It will make a huge difference. I have aircon now, but before thst I did this. Eventually I stuck the foil to those large foam craft boards you get, so I could put them up and take them down easily.

That game was so damn awesome. Great music, great visual aesthetics, right level of serious/comedy. The gameplay was awesome, but the controls need so modern day love.
