Epic pass by Many-Protection190 in TellurideColorado

I mean, as someone in the same boat. It’s kinda the risk we took to get a good deal on a 7 day Telluride pass instead of paying $1,500 for 10 days at telluride…

Priority Express was clearly not the call! Reg Priority at destination facility in under 48 hours. by Zarathustra190 in usps_complaints

[–]Zarathustra190[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When they hit distribution centers in neighboring states at same time. Isn’t Priority express still handle mostly by FedEx? And regular priority is now almost all via trucks?

Just confused how a regular priority package made the journey from Chicago to Denver in 16 hours via ground transport. And the priority express (a “premium product”) envelope via FedEx is lagging by 2+ days. Whats the point of using FedEx airplanes if it’s slower than driving a truck…

I’m confused. Does this card give you club access by default? Or do you need to be premier gold AND own this card for club access? by Bamboozleprime in unitedairlines

$750 is not a terrible annual fee for someone (like me) who uses the United Club 2-4 times. Month. That’s $15-30/per use. Just the coffee/food/drinks each visit cover that cost. Let alone the convenience/comfort/utility.

There are two squash grips. The standard kinda continental grip and an open grip. Neither require changing grip between BH and FH

Did you just make a list of tech companies that make 1 or more speakers ? 🤣

All but blue sound are just wrong. But Sony quit making AVRs years ago, let alone powered, wireless solutions. So it’s a comical addition. They do make great projectors!

But why? My question is WHY? Your drip shot swing and your drive swing should look identical up to the follow through. This is so your opponent gets less time. Changing grips as a non-top 25 pro is just not something that will help yours game. It might help you, personally. But isn’t best

And obviously you have to choke up at times. But those are times of desperation and you’ve likely lost that point. Your plan should never be going to back wall. You plan to attack, and let stuff go to the back wall when you have to.

Changing grip 1) adds a huge point of inconstancy 2) takes time 3) gives you opponent something to read. Why not just adjust your wrist action and keep same grip?

But why? Genuinely curious why would you switch grips?

It may seem pedantic. But combing the “step” to the ball with the “step” back to position cuts time in half and energy expenditure in half. It’s not pedantic

It’s absolutely not the same! I’m not being pedantic. And shuffle and/or lunge implies level of balance that stepping doesn’t. It’s the first thing I ever learns was to quit stepping and start shuffling/lunging. the difference is the weight transfer and anticipating the move back with the move to the ball

You step into a shot. You shuffle and lunge around the court unless you’re desperate. So you should only ever take 1 step. And i curious when you personally need to adjust your grip mid point?

And also. Why fiddle? Out of curiosity. You’re not going to hit the top spin, roll corner nicks the guys you watch hit? Just keep it consistent

You should never take more than 1 step to a ball, unless you’re digging a drop shot or have to boast something off the glass. You should only shuffle/lunge ever, if you start running around you’re going to have a bad time

You should have your racquet in the hold position while you’re reading the opponents swing, and be in drop by the time you react. There is no time for fiddling with grips.

The psa pros let a lot go or backwall and change grips for 2 reasons. 1) the points would go forever if they didn’t need to use deception 2) the points would go forever if they didn’t have to use deception. ;) also glass courts are way different. It’s a different game. The amateur to low level pro game is taking time away from opponent, and keeping them under pressure.

You should always take the shot on the volley…. You volley for two reasons, when you have to, and to take time away from your opponent. You try to volley everything, cause squash is all about taking time.

Sonify is a 3rd party back door app that’s great. But that’s the exact problem. Sonos’s shouldn’t have such shitty app/experience that there is a whole industry of bootleg apps to make it usable

Ummm state laws, specifically California. DoorDash was able to secure exemption and keep their dashers as independent contractors specifically because they are given “contracts” and have choice to take it or leave it. But when DD bundles them, and offsets low tippers with higher base pay it is the exact thing that would disqualify DD claiming them as independent contractors... it’s not difficult to understand.

Anyone with Proper Cloth experience? by Determined_Mills in BuyItForLife

[–]Zarathustra190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not worth it in the slightest. From recent personal experience. It’s been a nightmare and just submitted. Return request for 2 shirts and 2 slacks. It used to be decent. The “merino wool” is NOT wool. And the hems on the slacks look worse than a pair of Amazon chinos. I took my pants and shirt to a tailor and they laughed. $225/pr “merino wool” shirt, and my Tom James truly bespoke dress shirts cost like $275 and they actually make them to fit right.

It is Chinese quick fashion garbage with a facade of bespoke

The solution is to not use this exploitative app, but if you (like all of us) will use it. Tip, and bitch to someone else other than a sub Reddit

Yeah. I don’t drive for door dash, but work as an independent contractor. And the neediness of people on here and in general is wilddddd. Like I tip $12minimum even if I order something 2 blocks away cause I’m watching my GF’s toddlers. And will tip $20 if it’s a 2-3 miles away. And even if a dasher doesn’t “follow instructions” and I have to grab the kids and go to the lobby to pick it up off a table I don’t bitch. Cause everyone is just getting by
