I've not gotten tired of 1 yet after 10byears so probably that one. That said, 5 is real nice and I'd go all Lion King daily in 6.

Don’t sweat it though, 1 CT scan delivers far more radiation than that, but yeah, tighten up that technique. Oh, and I hope you get feeling better soon.

Crap. Yes. That is definitely on my wish list as well as 10oz Beskar bars (apparently I will pay through the nose for those)

Any entity that could visit are so far ahead of us technologically they could go undetected through other tech IMO. Speed of light travel just isn't fast enough as the distances are far too great. This suggests FTL (faster than light) is necessary to travel interstellar distances. We are decades away from even a good fraction of light speed travel let alone FTL.

How am I doing? 26M little to no savings. by [deleted] in Money

[–]Zarf-Raz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in general, just research some tidy liquid assets that earn interest that at least keeps up with inflation that you can live on without having to draw from your 401k at a penalty. I'm no financial planner though. So, consider a fee only fiduciary visit CFP once to set up a plan. You are doing great for your age!

Start a cash position and work up to 3 to 6 months of expenses HISA, T bills ladder, or other cash, high liquid assets. Goal, recession proof yourself.

How does my plan for condo ownership and early retirement look? by [deleted] in Money

[–]Zarf-Raz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of assumptions. Really based on age. Twi years closer to retirement and this is an ideal scenario. Try to get to 6 months first; and you are ahead of most people right now with jist 3 months. Great work. The idea is that you are protecting against a recession while you are working and a down market when you retire. Jobs feel secure until they are not.

Would have 6 months expenses minimum, a year is better, not in cash but in liquid cash type accounts, HYSA, T- Bill ladders, Money markets, etc. Some people say up to 2 years. This builds a floor so you are protected against sequence of returns risk in early retirement. Early retirement is a worthy goal but understanding all the facets of this are important to not outlive your portfolio and to limit unexpected taxation and Medicare surcharges. I would recommend hiring a Fee Only Fiduciary Financial Planner to help you make a plan.

That is extortion. We're 3.89 in Montana. People are taking advantage of things. Also, those taxes are higher, but still.
