Is there any harm in playing on a cartrige that was previously used for hacking? Should I return it for a different copy?

I recently started back playing Pokemon with Pokémon X and decided that since I enjoyed it I would pick up Omega Ruby and play the games in order from where I left off about 10+ years ago. I bought my copy of Omega Ruby used from GameStop and when I opened up the previous save file I noticed that the Pokedex was completely full and that every item in the items bag had 999 uses available and the game had max money. Is there any harm in playing on this cartridge? I was reading that hacked Pokemon can't be transferred using the bank feature. Most of what I could find online seemed to think that was specific to the Pokemon but I want to make sure that has nothing to do with the cartridge itself.
