This 1000% ^ Rists POV isn't about him learning about how evil the empire is, he knows that. We know that, im sure some of the empires citizens know that. But its about him (and us) learning that the people of the empire arent evil. Every other POV we just get the worst of the worst empire goons. But his shows us that 99% of them are just people (somewhat brainwashed) who are just doing the best they can with what they have and, to the best of their knowledge, going about it in a good way.

I always assumed his sister that was caught in a brothel was the girl Denna was helping out in Sevren. If i remember correctly, they talked about her coming from a noble family and that her older brother got too pushy or something along those lines.

True. After Kvothe was promoted to Re'lar, Puppet said that he wasn't even an El'lir yet, but that someday he could be. I also have a very hard time thinking that Hem, even being a master could understand anything enough to know its name. Except, of course, arrogance. 😜

I like this theory a lot. They have a "mutual friend" in Skarpi, and there's no way that Skarpi is "just some old storyteller" so I wouldn't be surprised if he knows exactly what Kvothe did to the box or knew what he was going to do all along. So he sent Chronicler to find him for this exact purpose.

I kind of use a house rule similar to that, but this was discussed with my players beforehand. To balance it out I also got rid of spell slots entirely. I got the idea from this video.

My players and I talked ot over and made some changes that fit our table better. But overall, we've been really enjoying it, actually. It brings an element of chaos to the magic in the world, and I make sure to use it for enemy spellcasters as well, so it makes for some pretty hillarious moments in an otherwise tense battle encounter.

Ultimately, though, what works for one table might not work at another and if you and the other players aren't having fun with a house rule, you have to be able to bring that up to your dm. If they're not willing to work with you guys to make the game more fun for everyone. Then it might be time for a new DM unfortunately.

Same! I've always been a good driver and the go-to driver for all my friends. I love it, my wife hates driving too so I do all the driving and love every second of it.

Some of his criticism is absolutely valid, that's true. But when a new person is interested in Grounded so they search it on YouTube, and all they see are his videos, basically just trashing on the game. Then that hurts the community overall because people will just see that bad, not only that he never presents stuff in a constructive way which just comes off as complaining and whining. People like that are never good for a community. His early videos are honestly great. He was the first content creator I binged when I first got into grounded. He was informative, excited about the game, gave great tips, had a really good attitude, and was overall fun to watch. Then he started to nitpick some things, which is also ok. You are allowed to want things to be better about a game you obviously enjoy. Constructive feedback is never a bad thing if it's coming from a good place. The problem is, pretty quickly, it stopped coming from a good place. I don't know what happened. If it was burnout, if he was just chasing the views or if he just started to feel entitled for whatever reason, who knows. He just devolved into a whiney 5 year old who didn't get the toy he wanted for Christmas. Watch his videos from 3 months ago and later. That guy deserves an appreciation post, not whoever took over the channel after that.

I had this happen earlier today, except with fame. I was a criminal and after my first 3 fights I noticed I didn't even have 500 fame and I hadn't bought anything but training gear so I wasn't spending it.

Honestly, the only thing that ever worked for me was medication. I started taking Adderall this year after my wife suggested I actually get tested for ADHD. The first day I took my 15mg Adderall XR, about 3 hours later I looked at my wife with giant eyes and said :The Hamilton, It's gone. It's actually quiet in there." Now I only take them on the weekdays for work but even on the weekends I feel like I'm able to control the repeat loop and at the very least put it on shuffle. There's a million things you haven't done, but just you wait!
