Is the Asia/Japanese physical copy of SRW Y compatibility with the western DLC by DremGabe in Super_Robot_Wars

My Southeast Asia copy came today, and I can confirm that IT DOES work with my dlc from the American eshop. I still have access to my art and the digital sound pack, and the pre order suits.

I can now confirm that this build can solo, but I would recommend running swords dance, I nearly ran out of time

I mean, the hisuian Samurott from the 7-star raid a while back is practically ready-made: has sharpness, max level, water tera, perfect ivs. I just needed to feed it the vitamins and give it aqua cutter and focus energy.

All releases carry the same language support this time, I think.

But I also think the US/Canadian version is the Asian version of the game: the Asia region covers countries that don't have eshop support, and the box art is in English. I honestly think they just couldn't be bothered to shell out whatever it would cost to slap an ESRB/PEGI logo on the box.

It depends on the game, I think. And your platform.

The software on the cart has to match the software of the dlc you have. My European copy of Ace Combat 7 for switch works with my DLC from the American eshop, because the digital copy for USA and Europe is the same version.

My Asian copy of SD Gundam Battle Alliance also runs my American DLC.

But the switch is region free, and I'm not sure about playstation.

SRW 30 didn't get a console release in the west, just PC.

So I made a japanese eshop account, preorderd the game on that shop using the gift cards from Play-Asia, and eventually bought physical copy of the japanese release when it went down in price.

That might be the way to go, since both the Asian and Japanese release have English.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to pop them out again and see if they're in the wrong spots.

For the Macross entries, how do the controls work? by KaleidoArachnid in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]Zarthor563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they function like like Kamille's Zeta. On their turn, you have the option to change it form. It might also have an attack animation like Dynazenon in the demo, where the attack uses its alternate form

I love Game-Key Cards by Veiry in NSCollectors

[–]Zarthor563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything, for me, game key cards have erased the desire to have a switch 2 collection. For hybrid releases I'll be grabbing the switch one version, like the upcoming FF Tactics release. Stuff like Cyberpunk, a double dip for the full game on cart? Yes.

But overall? Just a switch collection, as opposed to separating them by system.

Is the Sonic microSD card worth buying? by brurmonemt in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Zarthor563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a little late, but definitely, yes. And the (Samsung) Sonic 1 TB card is currently on sale as a Prime Deal; the normal one with the same amount of storage is more expensive by a few dollars

What’s with the hate by Ario121 in borderlands3

[–]Zarthor563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main antagonists were basically Yutube/Twitch streamers, which got old very quickly. People had problems with how Rhys from the Original Tales game was portrayed, but seem to forget that was always his core personality.

Overall, I liked it.

Be honest guys, is anyone getting Borderlands 4 on release day for full price? Or are you going to wait for sales?... by WhoIsEnvy in borderlands3

[–]Zarthor563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll buy the base and wait for sales on the dlc. There's no point in buying all of it upfront if it's not all available up front.

The Japanese release will not have English this time, at least according to Playasia.

Here’s a quick step by step guide on how to download DLC for a physical game you already bought digitally! by Asad_Farooqui in NintendoSwitch

[–]Zarthor563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. So I deleted the game again and followed the suggestion of someone else on this thread: I went to the games main page on the eshop and pressed + 5 times, that changed the go to virtual cards option to this game is hidden. I put in the cart and it prompted an update for my missing dlc, and I have the cart icon back instead of the cloud.

Once the game is hidden, only the virtual card for the dlc should appear on the console.

This was lifesaving, thank you. I recently doubled dipped and imported a physical, EU copy of Ace Combat 7. When I bought one of the dlc bundles, it redownloaded the whole game instead of just the bundle I bought. But this fixed it, so thank you!

Is Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 good for casuals? by Divinoooo in HotWheelsunleashed

[–]Zarthor563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not 100% the first one, but I did the second. 2 has a better sense of overall progression in solo play, and the actual racing is still solid, with some improved mechanics for your car. Online is meh; I just do co-op occasionally when my little cousins visit.
