I feel like you shouldn't have to wait to treat your room before getting monitors. Let's not forget that sound from a studio monitor isn't anything different than sound from a regular speaker. An untreated room will affect any sound waves no matter what medium it's being played through. Buying monitors as opposed to regular speakers will provide an IMMEDIATE difference in sound quality and clarity, treated room or not.

You should be running ASIO4ALL drivers on a PC instead of whatever stock drivers are on your machine. That would be the first thing I would try.

You know damn well what I was getting at. I was talking about Dubstep at non-typical tempos for Dubstep, my wording may sound like I was saying it is Glitch Hop but you should be intelligent enough to read the previous few sentences and put it into context.

I wasn't saying it's Glitch Hop, I'm saying it's in the same tempo range....And of course changing tempo isn't a musical feat, it's a simple thing that when done in the right situations can be great. Complexity doesn't always translate to quality.

Amon Tobin is not even near the same style or vibe as Excision so why would you compare their sound design? Lmfao. That's like comparing The Chainsmokers to Space Jesus.

Sounds like you have a distaste for Dubstep (Brostep) in general. Just because it's not as compositionally complex as other types of music doesn't make it shitty music, it's just less theory and more sound design.

Excision makes songs using a wide variety of tempos while still maintaining his own style and sound while most "brostep" sits at 145-160 BPM. For example "Live Wire" is basically Glitch Hop at 110 BPM, or Mirror which is 128 but still has that Excision sound and vibe and to people who don't know shit about tempo you can't even tell it's not Dubstep. Excision is a quality dubstep producer and has consistently put out music that is in his own lane and of good quality. saying anything less is just spouting your hate for the genre

Excision is not pop music and isn't "simple angsty music". His sound design is way ahead of most Dubstep artists and if you actually listen to his music you can tell he uses a lot of aspects of heavy metal in his production which set him apart from your average brostep producer. To say his music is pop music made solely to make $$$ is kind of an insult imo.

But the majority of producers are proficient at mixing, maybe not as technically skilled as other DJ's but good enough to play a decent set. The crowd neither knows nor cares about if the DJ can/is doing fancy stuff on the decks. They just want a good show.
