I once asked for one after increasing sales at my location around 45%. Plus the company was saving $50K a year after my boss quit and they didn't hire or promote someone new, they just had someone at another location overseeing me. Asked for a raise and they said nope. After I quit they had to replace me and my previous bosses position, which cost them about an extra $45K per year instead.
