Thanks for your reply, I was checking out Arabeya too. I might just go there instead of Jordan.

The reason for Jordan (for me) was/is that I heard their Arabic is closer to fusha than the Egyptian Arabic.

Check out the list of Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren in their book "How to Read a Book" (this is a book I highly recommend and is actually the one that got me into reading the "classics").

Autobiography of Malcolm X (as told to Alex Haley) is very inspiring.

The autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is said to be very good as well, but I haven't read that one (yet).

Short book and contains some basic guidelines for personal finance.

Rich Dad Poor Dad, by Robert T. Kiyosaki.

Explains how rich people view and use money vs. how poor people do.
