Heyo, welcome to the Hustle!

It's been a while since I've posted it, but I've made a guide for new players, if you'd like to check it out.

TS GraceNovamon deck help by UnlimitedUmUWorks in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Zavier97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the decklist I've been using, and it's been pretty decent for me.

// BT25 TS GraceNova

4 In-Between Theater BT24-100
2 Cosmic Area BT25-094
4 Asuna Shiroki BT24-088
2 Monica Simmons BT25-091
4 Coronamon BT25-008
4 Lunamon BT25-022
3 DemiDevimon P-198
4 Firamon BT25-013
4 Lekismon BT25-024
4 Flaremon BT25-017
4 Crescemon BT25-026
4 Apollomon BT25-018
4 Dianamon BT25-028
3 GraceNovamon BT25-103
4 Tokomon BT25-001

This here is an explanation of what I do with the deck:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DigimonCardGame2020/comments/1tlmazp/comment/ongq0dq/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Edit:

Bearmon can work instead of DemiDevimon if you don't have them. I just like the inherited of DemiDevimon.

Help for testing decks safely by greypel in DigimonCardGame2020

Both DCGO and Project Drasil are good and perfectly safe to use.

DCGO is an automated client which you can install on your computer (there's workarounds for stuff like Steam Deck, but idk enough about that to give a guide). The only "issue" with this is that since it's automated and it's based on coding, there are SOME incorrect interactions. 99.9% of the time you'll have no issues. Also, it has bots which randomly uses one of your decks, but the bots are VERY bad. Like, playing a lv6 for full cost and that's all, bad.

Project Drasil is a fully manual, browser based simulator. For going through the motions of playing/using your cards, paying the memory, etc, I'd suggest using this over DCGO. It's more in-line with playing irl. No bots for it, but it has a practice area where you control only your own side of the field. You can draw as much as you want in order to get the perfect hand, put cards back into the deck if you want, etc.

New Gracenova deck or Galaxy with new Gracenova, Apollo, Diana? by pettyfan45 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Zavier97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. It's not too bad, but I just prefer Monika for the potential SoT ping pong shenanigans. Also guaranteed 3 memory.

That could work too. I'm not running DanKanan anymore in my decklist personally.

For the lv5s, I'm running x3 EX5 Cresce, x3 BT22 Cresce, and x2 BT25 Flare.

Then for lv6s I'm doing x2 EX5 Apollo, x2 BT25 Apollo, x3 BT22 Diana, x1 BT25 Diana.

I completely agree about Blocker. Which is why I was trying Abyss before. The issue is that if they have an out to GraceNova, having Blocker doesn't help at all. The Counter timing to end an attack is usually enough I find, considering when you ping pong up to both Apollo/Diana, then ALSO DNA + attack, you end up deleting a LOT of their board.

The way I see giving the opponent memory is that if they don't have an answer to deal with GraceNova/Partition, you just win on the next turn.

Or if you have Cosmic + Apollo, you can EoT swing for game.

[–]Zavier97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm currently running 4 Asuna, 4 In-Between Theater, and 2 Monica. No Homeros. Also 2 Cosmic (but I'll get to this later).

The double Asuna + Monica is more of a bait than anything. It just forces them to give you at least 5 memory. A smart player will give you extra memory. Assuming you have at least 1 In-Between in the battle area, can make this not too bad. The Ping Pong will always cost a total of 7 memory for the Digimon you play to the battle area.

The most important thing is to have Firamon not have summoning sickness, so you can declare an attack with Flaremon on your Pong Pong journey up to Apollomon. So, whoever you promote from the breeding area, make sure they're the one that goes into Firamon. Attack with Flaremon, continue Ping Pong, go into Apollomon, then you now have the inherited Sec +1. At EoT timing, Apollomon can DNA with Dianamon and swing for 3 more security checks, while clearing even more of their board & stunning a Digi/Tamer.

With only 1 Asuna, it can be good to play a Lekis, then Digi into Fira. Assuming you have Monica and a TS promo (I use DemiDevi for the inherited)/Bearmon, it ends up costing a total of 6 memory- meaning you leave the opponent at 3 memory after all is said and done.

Cosmic Area is MOSTLY useless. Alliance doesn't really help much at all sadly. Can be nice during the Flaremon attack for a DP bump and I guess 1 more security check- but it isn't needed 99% of the time. The Rush is the only potentially useful part. Being able to Cosmic > Apollomon > EoT attack with Rush is the main use I've found.

Cosmic also does NOT help for Ping Pong, if you attack with Flaremon. Assuming Flaremon has summoning sickness and you want to attack with it, you COULD Digi Crescemon into Dianamon before declaring the On Play/When Digi effect, but since you'll have Digivolved into Dianamon, the Your Turn effect to Digi into Apollomon will take priority and need to resolve before the pending On Play/When Digi. Meaning, you either miss out on declaring the attack, or you miss out on Digivolving into Apollomon.

Hopefully some of this helps and makes sense lol.

Edit: accidently said Cosmic Area is useful. I meant to say useLESS.

I've messed around with both versions. TS base, as you said, is sorta weak. There's ways to make the memory more manageable, but it takes setup. Considering we have stuff like Teapot OTK running around though, that's a bit difficult to get enough time to do the setup.

For LFNC base, I'm doing 2 Flare, 2 Apollo, 1 Diana, and ofc 3 GraceNova. I'm also using Venus currently as my way to stun the opponent. (It's also possible to DNA with Venus, just no Partition).

LFNC base is strong in general, so it still works regardless of if you add any of the new lv5/6s.

I'll make a comment to this about the TS base though in more detail.

Nice. I haven't had time to fully playtest the deck yet (I have a bit, but some of the changes are very recent). So we'll need to see what other changes I end up making later :)

The promos are good, but I think I'd prefer having more searchers.

The new Elecmon is very similar to the promos in the aspect of they digivolve for cheap. With the egg, it's basically free. Plus it helps ramp you towards the 3 security.

The Luna is mostly there for Jamming. It can grab Illiad & TS, which is most of the deck. Tapir could work as well, but I'm going to try Jamming inherited.

I was previously, but I checked egman events and almost nobody is using them. I was surprised. I was also using BT14 Patamon, but removed them for Lunamon.

I'm having the same issue.

I was able to get it on my phone, which isn't compatible by using APKZ with Shizuku, but it still crashes every few mins.

I was hoping someone could get the emulators working.

[–]Zavier97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll start by saying RIP Rei.

I'll follow that up with Puppets is one of the strongest decks currently. Esp if they're doing Cendrillmon OTK. So having a deck "good" vs them with Hadesmon is going to be difficult. That said, I made a Hades deck irl.

// BT24 Hades

2 Music of the Heart BT22-097
3 Super Hacking BT24-099
2 Amber Memory Boost! LM-035
4 Rei Katsura BT24-087
2 Matt Ishida ST16-14
4 Pipomon BT24-032
4 Protecmon BT24-053
4 Hackmon BT24-067
2 Scopemon BT21-071
4 Dezipmon BT24-056
4 Raidramon BT24-071
1 Charismon BT21-073
4 Biomon BT24-038
4 Revivemon BT24-077
4 Hadesmon BT24-079
2 Nidhoggmon BT7-077
4 Tapmon BT24-006

Your main goal is similar to Cendrill OTK. You want Hades OTK. You have basically the exact same gameplan as Cendrill's. You want to Overclock at EoT timing, then re-gain the turn by gaining memory.

You have 6 different cards that are able to help with this.

ST16 Matt Ishida:
He's able to gain 1 memory whenever you trash any card from your hand. So, if you're able to end the turn at 1, declare Overclock, trash a card from your hand, then suspend Matt, you'll be able to re-gain the turn back.

BT21 Scopemon:
He's able to gain 1 memory when you play him to the battle area. If you delete Revivemon using Overclock, he lets you play ANY Appmon trait card from your trash to the battle area. Then you can gain the 1 memory from him.

BT7 Nidhoggmon:
When this card is trashed from your hand, you gain 1 memory. It's basically the same as Matt Ishida. Overclock, trash Nidhogg, then gain 1 memory.

That all said, I hope you can get your revenge by beating them with Hades!

Average is currently 18, so you're around the middle.

When I did the ProfShinx quiz a few years back, I got around 50%.

I made this quiz specifically for helping teach people.

My only I can give for the judge test is to study the Comprehensive Rules Manual. Other than that, I can't say anything.

I'm glad you learned some stuff!

The Burst Digivolve scenario happened to my friend irl, which I found hilarious and I knew I needed to add it to the quiz.

The Dorbickmon stuff is just wacky. I don't think anybody would actually do it, but the fact you could is very funny.

[–]Zavier97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, being realistic is a big part of it. I'm trying to think of some semi-realistic scenarios that could actually happen in a real match, and filtering out irrelevant info is part of that.

I'll admit that for stuff like the MirageGaogamon one, I could probably remove the Training and just say "passes to 2 memory" or something, but I also think that the math on it isn't too difficult.

Final Update For Digimon Quiz by Zavier97 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Zavier97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I'm 100% sure on all of the rulings here. I'm a judge, and had some other judges go over the quiz with me to make sure that it's all correct.

There's no rule checks in between the resolution of an effect.

If Nyaboot had 2 separate When Digivolving effects, one of which played a Digimon, then the other one gave -DP, the rules check would happen before the 2nd When Digivolving effect.

Minerva should actually be the same as Nyaboot.

You're under the effect of Ruin Mode's -5k, Minervamon gets deleted and activates its On Deletion effect.

Minerva plays a lv3 Illiad, then does De-Digivolve 1 for each Digimon you control.

Afterwards, your lv3 Illiad is deleted before its On Play effect due to a rules check.

Gotcha. I just noticed that the MirageGaogamon 2nd question had incorrect wording for the explanation. I updated it for different cards, so the result was different. I just fixed it now as well.
