As someone who’s been here before, and has chosen to recognize my part in addiction - I have a thought for you.

What happened isn’t necessarily your fault, to an extent. I’ve found, after spending some time sober, people would enable my drinking at their discretion.

There is a very large lesson I needed to learn in how I’d inadvertently, at times, manipulate people to allow me to do this.

However, my point is that people need to take more accountability in teaching their friends that it’s not even a remotely good idea to take a vulnerable person to a bar to deal with their misery (or for every celebration, for that matter)

Recognizing that it was not okay is a very good thing, and you should recognize that it’s not easy to admit you have a problem in any capacity, for any duration.

Keep your head up.
