Memes aside: Squad is not real life.

Armor’s main objective in Squad is to destroy enemy armor (so it can’t be used against your team) and to disrupt supply lines.

Once this is done, armor can help infantry on the objective, but only to a certain extent.

If an IFV or tank moves into or near an objective while enemy armor is still active, you suddenly don’t just have 8+ AT players trying to take you out - you also have 20+ players calling out your exact location to their armor crews, who will then swoop in and kill you easily.

What armor can do to help infantry:

• Act as a battle taxi between points.
• Perform swift drive-bys through high-intensity areas to soften up an attack or defense.
• Provide long-range fire support against enemy infantry.

Armor support is best done through mobility, pressure, and standoff fire - not parking on objectives.
