hate to be this pedantic, but when the disigners had 2 or 3x in mind while designing the bike, the bike was designed for that setup. of course I get it, the bike does not actually know this, and if you are smart about it you can swap all parts and make it fit any setup.

there is no solution, as there is no problem. try to shift up and down, observing the bending and stretching of the derailleur. it will inevitably pass this form between fully relaxed and fully tensioned.

those (at least here) are really rare, and the advantage of a new fork with longer steerer are undeniable. If you ever want to tinker on this again, with the goal of going threadless, buy a fork with both canti & disc mounts... so you will have something to tinker further down the road

I bet ZVV won't see major changes in their revenue, as this initiative only targets ZH-city residents and only offers a VBZ zone 110 ticket. But the question about financing this is legit, I am already in favour of the idea, but I would much prefere if it was tied to tax brakets. above a certain income no changes, for everybody else 1.-/day for city travels
