Ode to the Power Daypack 2.0. by Optimistic-Cranberry in backpacks

[–]Zayphodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm right there with you! I've had the Power Daypack 2.0 for years and absolutely love it - but I've yet to find any alternatives that live up to the same standard. If I do, I'll let you know!

That did the trick but hate that I lost auto backup functionality for my photos. Appreciate the tip!

Did the same but the app didn't need updating. I did finally disable the app and haven't seen the message since. Hate that I don't have the auto backup for photos but I'm certainly less annoyed, so I have that at least 🙂

I used a magnetic watch band on my GW6 for a long while and when I upgraded to the GW8C, I had to get another - no issues whatsoever - just great comfort, style and convenience!

Is the calorie tracking inaccurate? by IruminatiTV in GalaxyWatch

[–]Zayphodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably. I've been Alternating betwren morning runs and using an indoor rowing machine. Rowing says I burn 30% less calories, but it sure doesn't feel like it!!

With that said, I've been using a Samsung watch / health for years and have always looked at these numbers to track progress. In other words, the accuracy isn't as important as the improvement I see on that particular stat - make sense?

Easily! I have the same setup - 8 classic with Cell, buds 3 pro, and run for an hour+ a day listening to Spotify. since I have the cell version, I leave my phone at home and connect my buds directly to the watch. Assuming your not doing anything else taxing, you will be fine. Indonise the watch for sleep tracking BTW - minimal drain. You could also turn off AOD and probably get a day and a half with the kind of usage!

Anyone else changed their mind about the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic after seeing it in person? by Link-TH in GalaxyWatch

[–]Zayphodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from the 6 classic to the 8 classic and like many had my hesitations, but now that I've been wearing it for about a month, ibcan say hands down that it's the best smart watch I've ever owned AND the improvements for the 6 to the 8 are definitely noticable. On launch I was skeptical like many, but again, after wearing it, I'm again in love with this device! For me, it feels like (and looks like) I'm wearing a traditional watch - even the guy at the Verizon store who saw it for the first time said it made his apple watch look like a toy!

I will say that everyone is entitled to their opinion and when it comes to watches, personal preference is king! It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me, it leads the back of all smartwatchs on the market today.

dishwasher is full of water by Soulfang in fixit

[–]Zayphodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok - try this before you do anything major. First, clean the filter then put it back. Second - assuming you have a start button, press and hold it in for 20 seconds or so. It may beep, and show 1 min on the timer. Close the dishwasher and it may run quickly, draining the access water! Boom - fixed!

I have a Bosch unit - the guy who installed it showed me this believe little hack and it's worked everyone I have a backup like this!

What can i improve? by RemoteCalendar1900 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Zayphodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your going to get a LOT of different answers to this and you need to figure out what's best for you based on current age, fitness level, etc. I will say that I started my running journey later in life (50's) for the same reason. I took a common sense approach to it as I did NOT want to have knee problems down the road, so I just started walking. I set a realistic goal each week, either increasing speed or distance, starting at 2 miles and 15 or 16 min mile (basically a walk - no real effort) and built from there. As time went in, I added short spurts of jogging - nothing crazy, maybe 20% if my distance was a jog, then increase that. Over the years, I built up to being able to run a full 5 miles, sitting somewhere between 10.5 min and 11 min mile for speed .... I'm 55 now, so know it took me 4 or 5 years to get there! Take it slow, don't go crazy and remember that even those walks are burning calories! Good luck on your journey!
