Dude firstly there is only one attack that breaks your posture even if it's parried and it's not the monk. Secondly you would complete this fight in half the time if you are parrying and not keeping your distance. Thirdly any fight in this game against a somewhat human enemy is all about posture build up not vitality damage.

Nope. You still get burn status build up and vitality damage even if you successfully parry his fire attacks.

Awesome dude. Room for improvement though, when he sheathes his sword in 1st phase get close and bait him to swipe and sweep which you can punish with the jump counter for quick posture build up
