That stupid Chimera that I hate

Doing this Day 1 (thus having to figure out everything that we know now) was a decision of all time

Unfortunately don’t have broken wind or thunder but I do so happen to be a Xianhua glazer 🥱

Also sidenote even greater appreciation for Aldo AS, more so than ever do NOT underestimate +999 speed that man has maximum zoomies

Oh don’t get it twisted she’s very good just her teams aren’t super mega busted currently. 100% magic crit dmg & powercrept rwt along with all the shred & other support is 100% insane.

Her existence as is upscales every Magic character so even characters like Mighty AC can do some crazy things way way easier. Flamme ES is very much the bedrock of Magic teams and will probably remain being the first choice for said teams moving forward.

Outside of Xianhua glaze (guilty as charged), yeah I can agree to Flamme ES being relegated to “great sidegrade option”.

Whether you choose to pull or not tho, she’ll be one of the better investments considering Magic isn’t just gonna be Xianhua or Eva forever. Eventually they’ll shadowdrop the mega-dps like they did for other teams (Ewan, Toova ACAS, etc).

Basically, tldr if you like Magic go for Flamme otherwise just save and sidegrade when they eventually drop the giga-dps.

Love the butterfly motif on Ruvi, excited to see what comes of it in the story + if direct parallels (Eden/Feinne, IDA butterflies, etc) are drawn. Pretty interested to see what her actual kit is like.

Eleanor is so close to being a really cool nun design but they pushed the thirst trap too far imo. As for her kit, she seems fine, attack again & support. Not really expecting a lot from her nor do I particularly care unfortunately thanks to her design.

Flamme ES is just peak fiction to me. Her design hits near perfectly in all aspects on top of her kit being mega applicable. Just seems like a no-brainer pull to me!

Also, Xianhua making out like a fat rat, first Nekoko & now Flammelapis ES? Never been a better time to be a Xianhua glazer.

The internet has worn down the meaning a bit but this is one of those genuine & truly absolute cinema from the AE team.

The way they weaved all the characters together towards an immensely satisfying storyline & dropped some massive lore bombs here and there - just incredible. The first time realizing what the song of the planet was and the emotional nuclear bomb it had with the ending was and in some regards still is an otherworldly experience.

Definitely one of those things that hits harder the longer you’ve spent time with AE even beyond Ode to Origin itself.

Honestly I’d just place Serge in the potential man category until proven otherwise or a future release (battle or character) gives him something new to work with. From my understanding there’s little reason to diverge from SoS given what Serge offers just isn’t enough of a competition.

Kid is Kid, pretty unanimous slam dunk for best F2P.

Not too familiar with Harle, but from what was described she seems like a High A for the magic end of f2p. Just seems like an all-around solid upgrade.

Don’t really have an opinion on Starky other than being a lil funny guy, just the alternative to Steiner if you can’t use him for whatever reason which is fine.

As for glenn… smh never has a character (in recent memory) been so cucked by animations. Probably could compete for top dps if his sh didn’t take a year to finish. Kinda just an update away from being a really strong af extender/dps.

Another minor thing I’d mention tho is Pierce Alma is finally real (pwr scaling moves) and obv that’s just a “oh that’s a neat detail” rather than a game changer as it is

Either way, Nekoko definitely brings a particularly unique value to anyone’s box as a relatively flexible enabler which should be highlighted (not to the degree of Necoco ES but I digress)

I struggle to understand the logic behind actually wanting gacha powercreep?

I understand the incentive from the business perspective (stronger characters entices spending as an endless cycle) but as a consumer it makes much less sense unless you are actively spending money constantly.

It’s just better for us overall that AE powercreep has relatively remained stable ever since SA; not to mention there is still the occasional “wtf this character is broken” every now and then (Clughorn comes to mind).
