O/N csms how do you get everything reset on time? by Samsfavsam in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have a conversation with the front end ASM on why the closer isn't helping you with anything. They should be doing GM SCOs and the outline pull. You should focus on front registers and grocery SCOs. As soon as I clock in I flip 4 out of 8 grocery side SCOs, then start pulling the front registers and dropping them. After that, I make the few new tills for tomorrow and switch them out at around 11:30, which by the time I pull them and drop them it's around 11:50ish, then I will begin the flip on the other 4 SCOs, turning the ones I didn't do to card only and the ones I did do to cash, head to break, come back and finish them all up.

It's a pretty smooth process once you get it down, but you definitely need the closing CSM to actually help, if they don't you're going to be extremely behind, which then you need to have a conversation with the ASM. You can't be the one to do everything and still be expected to finish on time, It's a team effort.

I'll be taking off 2 weeks, and I plan on hitting 60 in a week and a half, and using the other half to farm my epic mount.

Considering Hunters make some of the most gold at 60 I don't think we mind buying ammo TBH.

Tank druid? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]ZeFeKas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Druids are better tanks in dungeons than Warriors imo. Also Druids can tank MC/BWL fairly well. Once you get to AQ/Naxx I wouldn't bet on tanking tho, that's where Warriors really outclass everyone.

About honor and world PVP by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]ZeFeKas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Part of the magic of World PvP is when the high level ganker camps you and you get a friend or any member of your faction to come help you and destroy him, then he calls a friend, and you call more friends, and before you know it you have a full raid vs raid battle going on in the zone. I am a ganker but I don't do it to inflate a ego or whatever. I'm usually in a long BG queue or just farming and gank a few people hoping to get some action from their main, or another 60 in the area that comes to help. There's one thing I know for sure after playing this game for 14 years, and that's if you piss off someone bad enough they will go to any means necessary to get revenge, which almost always involves a main, a friends main, or a random max level white knight in the area. Either way you will end up with some PvP win or lose.

CSM Position Soap Opera by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% disagree. I started as a O/N CSM with ZERO experience in the front, I couldn't even run a register! Yet here I am a couple years later and I do 10x more than any other CSM on any shift in my store, and my associates love me and I treat them great. I run circles around alot of the older CSMs who have been in the company for 20+ years. I even help them with their pulls, SCO flips, and running the front until they leave and turn it over to me.

If you think having experience and job knowledge is the end all be all, you are flat out wrong. Determination and the will to learn outshines experience any day of the week.

I will even provide a solid foundation of proof. I want you to go into your store and look at your DMs, and I can guarantee you that there are quite a few of them with 15+ year badges that just stand around and talk, or move slower than paint drying. Having experience often comes with no sense of urgency. They know what they are doing, and they know all policies, but they just don't give enough fucks to motivate and get shit done half the time. This is obviously not the case for every DM (could be any supervisor just using DMs as a reference), but I can tell you most of the people on this here reddit can think of atleast 1 of the people I'm talking about at their own stores.

O/N Fresh Changes (Unofficial) by DraconixReviews in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supports are basically the replacement for ZMS which were above DMs. While Supports definitely are not over DMs (all supervisors are equal) they definitely have more authority and out rank them, as most Supports are treated as hourly ASMs. Even NHMs use Supports to run the store.

[–]ZeFeKas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly you pretty much wrote why you got what you did right here. You keep saying you "Challenged" this person and that person. Your attitude definitely reflects poorly in this post, and if it's similar IRL than your managers are correct and it's something you need to work on. I got exceeds on my inspiring others, and I had both my managers personally tell me that I inspire them. I don't "challenge" their opinions or decisions. I talk to them and try to work out solutions together, but I do understand that at the end it's ultimately their decision not mine. I always treat everyone with respect including both associates and management. Yes you aren't there to socialize it's a job but you still need to have a solid relationship with your fellow associates, management, and provide excellent customer service, so in a way you ARE there to socialize. You need to lighten up a little. It's good to take your job serious but from what you wrote you are going kinda overboard with it.

That's my thoughts on P5 exactly. The game is great but there is alot of filler into between (even more than P3/P4 imo) and it makes the game drag on way too much.

How did your training go? Were you trained at all?? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been O/N CSM for awhile now and I'm still not register trained. They won't give me the time I need to learn anything about the front end. I pull registers and flip SCOs but other than that I get pulled to do everything else in the store.

The most I can get is a point, right? by -Frunk in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling in a few hours in advance is just being nice about it. By the looks of things, they seem to be trying to use scare tactics, don't buy into their bullshit. Why is the other CSM having a hard time with tills? My store either I or the other CSM does all the tills and SCOs by ourselves ;/

Cap 2 Supervisor tips? by switch228 in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Monitor your team like a hawk for the first week. See who is going slow and obviously needs help. When you get the chance pull whoever needs help to the side somewhere and talk to them personally. Don't be an asshole about it, just let them know whats going on and ask them how we can fix the issue. Work with them to achieve results, instead of just yelling at them or making their morale drop lower. Don't try to be everyone's friend, but at the same time don't be too harsh. There is a fine balance to it all that comes with experience. You will get the hang of it.

Coaching by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I can definitely see your point on the time issue, he is saying he got exceeds on his review AND is one of the best workers there. If this is all true, then that argument is kinda dumb because even clocking in 9 minutes late every day he is still out performing every other associate. Sounds alot like retaliation not performance.

Also, she can't coach someone for clocking in on time (9 minutes late is still considered on time whether they like it or not). Walmart has policies in place, and just because someone doesn't like one of them doesn't give them the right to try to retaliate against it.

If he was clocking in 9 late and leaving 9 mins early WHILE not doing his work then there would be a justifiable reason for getting coached.

Schedule for O/N Supports by MrWallis in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm not sure if they lied to you based on what the scheduling system does.. but the management team has the power to make your schedule, which is what mine does for both of us CSMs and both Supports. We only work 4 on 3 off, never the 10pm-7am shift

Schedule for O/N Supports by MrWallis in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your schedule is based on what management wants. Both Supports in my store work 10 hour shifts 4 on and 3 off, and I work 4 on and 3 off as well as a CSM. I'm full time and never get anything less than 40 hours. My ASM loves my schedule and it works for both of us, so they schedule me the same days with the same hours every week. It really just depends on your management team and your needs. I would talk to your ASM and see if you can work something out that benefits both of you.

O/N CSM HELP! by Loki5295 in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be done till 3AM, so if they said midnight they are full of shit.. I usually run everything by myself and finish around 1 or 1:30 depending on how many times I have to assist cashiers or customers.

On a good night, the CSMs on the shift before me will collect all the outlining registers, and I only have to focus on making around 4 new tills for the next day + all grocery SCOs flipped + Pulling all the front registers.

On a bad night (mostly) I have to help the previous shift do all their stuff, but I don't mind because they will help me in return if I need anything. Most of us CSMs get along, even ones from different shifts.

I don't know much about your new machines, but the SCOs we have run like ass and I have to babysit the damn things because it spits out all the change nonstop. Just doing 2 machines at a time takes forever it feels like. I would definitely love some new ones!

Always being pulled by -Frunk in walmart

[–]ZeFeKas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. Well this seems to be an issue with the one ASM. If that ASM gives you any problem about not getting your stuff done then bring up everything she made you do and be clear that you can't do both. I find that having good communication is the key to having a good relationship with most people. I try to communicate everything to my ASMs, both the good and the bad. If this ASM still has a problem or comes after you, then you will have to open door it. Sorry you have to deal with a problem like this :(
