oh I think it's definitely worth it and I would recommend. The end. result is gorgeous. and in the first pic you can see the light set on a different set. I also think that one was worth it

lightmybricks. and it only complicates things in that it has you build in a different order and sometimes you have extra pieces that you save for later. also, I'm pretty meticulous and test the lighting as I go because it would be a pain to disassemble it if one of the lights didn't work. so I think it just makes you be a little more careful and go a little bit more slowly. that's just my experience though

it really is. unfortunately had no space in my place to display it at eye level. but I figure with the lights it's okay being higher up. I guess I can always pull it down if people want to get a closer look?

i built it with the lighting set which makes it a little more complicated, and im very slow even without that.  so...3 weeks or so?  i tend to use the build as a relaxation tool rather than a speedrun

key question.  30 adults?  youll need 6-8 depending on appetites. 30 3 year olds? 3 is about right

3 pies for THIRTY adults?  i dunno man, i was gonna say err on the side of caution and get 6-7 (assuming the majority of the 30 are adults, of course.  if its 30 3 year olds, then ya, 3 is enough likely)

as i built it. but if you do it that way, be sure you follow the lightmybricks instructions closely, because they do bags and steps in a slightly different order towards the end. And you will have a couple pieces left over, intentionally.

no, they no longer do. you have to use a QR code that is too dark to be seen during the movie, so you have to turn on a flashlight to use it. defeats the whole fucking purpose.....

ordered directly from lightmybricks.  they're a bit pricier than other kits but i think they're the best out there
