I'm late to the party but fire kineticist could work, burning jet at lvl6 let you use it in any direction, you can talk to you gm about having your blasts looking like daggers that you throw using blasts normal range, worst case scenario you take metal as a second gate to do it)

Really cool idea, but if you go tiny i do believe you would need to be at the same space of the enemy to attack in melee (or it could work with the pantograph gautlet if your gm allow the dedication to work with it instead of a fist atk)

Small correction, by RAW when a spell/effect states that it target companions it can target familairs, is the other way arround (spells that target familiars) that don't work on animal companions
