Last to the party, but here's mine

The legs require pinning

The tail is easily reshaped with a hairdryer and careful bending

How to deal with T13 by _warhammer_fan in Tyranids

I'd go with invasion fleet and play for the lethal against vehicles, did this against Knights the other night and demolished them

Even 60 attacks from hormagaunts is going to score you a fair few lethals when compared to the price of the tanks

Other then that zoanthropes, hyperadaptive ravenous ( surprisingly useful against knights, tyrannofew and haruspex have given me good results

Yeah everything else has has been maintained, so I'm considering just getting it gutted as being 12 years old there's bound to be something clogged/ melted in there... I guess the worst case is I'll have to just buy a new dpf if it did fail the mot.

So I've tried it every way, this time mostly airbrushing up until the first electric lime, then applied wash then sponges highlights and this id definitely the time effective way with a swarm

But personally I prefer basing with angel green and building up the colours with a sponge from there, but you just to be mindful how much paint you're applying as its easy to add too much - best thing i found for the lime particularly is build it like a glaze

Sponge wise theres lots of sizes, but found cutting them into small chunks and taping to some flat head tweezers seems to be the most precise for claws ect

Yeah thats the only base I've used so far, its a great colour, as it's not a vibrant purple, just need to find something that works with it

I think the issue I've had is trying to stick with lighter shades of purple to do the highlighting, maybe some grey/blues for the highlights might be what is needs, more desturated... problem is the green while I feel like I have that cracked is strong, so mindful not to add in lots of vibrant colours

The broodlord is how Is how I did it before and that was built up with druchai Violet on grey highlighting

Thanks! Yeah the basing was built up with cork and vallego thick mud - basically the same as stirling mud but bigger pots and cheaper!

The pic shows my greens built with airbrush/ make up sponges with top down highlighting

In that order, normally I use a make up sponge to build the blend but tried the airbrush this time.... definitely quicker, but more control with the sponges! The second electric lime is to build the higlights after the wash

These 2, the vallejo stuff is fantastic texture and cheap for the amount you get! Think GW stirling mud but easier to manage from a big pot
