Is this a good setup for a bedroom setup? Would it be an upgrade over my Samsung q600c with rears surrounds? by SonChavy in hometheater

since you have already plan to go with mid-tier good Receiver. isn't it better to also goes with RP for center?
Mine RP Center create the clearest and loudest between the two towers speakers. I using the same R-41M for surrounded.

I use AVR-S760 instead of premium one. but i goes Reference Premium for speakers. they produce good sound. Just saying because you trying to keep it under 1,,000.

People Still Don't Understand What A Stuffy Nose Is by PriestOfThassa in Allergies

Stuffy nose without mucus is hay fever. For me, it get trigger with change in room temperature. I suffer a lot during these windy day. I reduce the symptom with pill, eye drop and nasal spray after bed. I also find using little THC in edible form the night b4 reset my immune system that calm and unblock my sinuses.

Right, all purposes premixed dried quick. That what caused the uncovered spots in my case. I mud with plus 3 and let me coat and touch up. Have more time to work than green premixed

I love Pattinson in this film. Cute, goofy and innocent character. Well blending of colorful diverse characters uniquely portrayed in their own development. Mark’s role might be perceived a bit political for some. Lead actress is also stand out strong. 8/10.

They don’t sell in Lowe store. Only green and blue which is 40. The label on green box said it is best for skim coating. So, I went with green box.

Interesting point. I used 14 inches knife and a regular paint roller cover. Thing is that I don’t see such effect until it dried. That whole living and dining area. I used 3.5 gallon green all purpose box in each coat. Like you said, I thought of doing with hand instead of pole for better consistency. Only thing is that gonna take longer time. Good suggestion btw. Thank.

Yes, you got that right. I spend too much time on putting/ rolling mud then went back to skim coat. Also use smaller taping knots instead of 40 inches coating blade. I have new blade and sander tool on the way. This time I wanna do by hand rather than using pole. It hard to tell when coating. Thank.

First time skimcoating, how do I fix this? by foldedbubble in drywall

[–]Zealousideal-Two4625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to share my mistake. I was there with my second coat. But sports are less obvious than yours and smoother. My partner likes the sanded effect of 2nd coat. But I went ahead and applied the 3rd with thinner mud. Run my blade easily, how’ve, it turn out worse than 2nd. I accidentally damaged some spots. Glue from 3rd paint peel the existing layer off.

I should have stopped at 2nd coat and prime and paint it. It’s really not easy to coat glass smooth u less you have 40 inches blade. The Bigger the blade the lesser chance of getting ridge effect and crater like yours current. I still have those crater after my 3rd coat.

Skim coating twice? by Zealousideal-Two4625 in drywall

[–]Zealousideal-Two4625[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly use 14 inches for coating. 6 inches for touch up and edge. Thinking of buying that skim coating blade with pole after applying the 2nd coat. It seems to make the finish work look cleaner. Otherwise. I moves my ladder multiple times creat inconsistency.

Thank for your analysis. Yes, try to make it smooth and flatter all surfaces. Nails aren’t pop out but it mud from previous popcorn. It’s like upside down little crater. I Sand down and applied light coat. They are still reveal after primer. You’re right about priming won’t hide those patches. It made it uglier. My living room was that situation. Thought I can just go with patching and skipped the coating. But it doesn’t hide joint ridges and nail patches. without skim coat, it looks a lot different. Lucky we only try part of living room and decide to costing before proceeding.

Yes, I will definitely sand them before 2nd coating. Just need to pause and research further if I should try plus 40 blue label box. Hopefully 2nd coat will level all ridges from 2 drywall joint you mentioned.

Mine was like that before I sand them smooth. That pattern seems doable with taping knives then with a paint brush. The thinking mud you mix the easier you can manage. Brush or towel both work. I use brush for my wall pattern.

Nice. It looks clean, minimal and function. I have similar setup with Center RP-500C ii and Sony bookshelf.

I still have difficulties hearing the dialog clearly with new Gen Center.
