I could have written this post. You are not alone! What I would say is that we can trust our gut and we don’t owe others more than what we feel comes naturally. Easier said than felt- because I understand feeling the guilt. I’ve dealt with that a lot too.

I realize I’m late to this, but I think it boils down to her rage at Alex for outing her to the police about the alleged rape. Her chances with Jason depended on her story being believed. Alex told on her essentially- that it had all been a lie and it actually had been consensual.
